Prob going to get slatted for this but I wouldn't mind Gary megson, loved by players wherever he has been and hasn't had much money to spend.

Living off the memory of his Baggies days. Outdated style and I actually know someone who played under him at Albion - not for very long though, he got ignored from the second Megson walked through the door.

He's ginger. That should rule him out even if his post-albion record doesn't.

More like no decent experienced manager would want the job for the pay on offer and which inexperienced manager can you say would certainly do better with the players he had at his disposal last season. Totally different to what you are saying.

If you disagree then which experienced manager that had more successes than failures is in line to take over? Still is pot luck on an inexperienced manager.

Richard Shaw did a better job last night than thorn ever did! I never saw desire in the players under AT that we witnessed last night. I'm not saying an experienced manager needs to take over. I don't get your point?

I was expecting plenty of this on here when I returned from being away and saw what happened. Fair play to those who were right all along. They should lord it over their fellow Coventry fan at every opportunity. Gloss over the contrasting and reasonable opinions espoused by many and state 'everyone else said no-one could do any better than Thorn (not Ferguson, not Mourinho, no-one)' - despite the fact that this completely misses the point made by a couple of people at the very most that Thorn had so little to work with, it was impossible in the early stage of last season to write him off as wholly inept, and tars everyone with the same brush. If you can also state who said 'not one manager would want the vacant manager's position' - rather than the more vague 'who the fuck would come here when SISU haven't spent any money and are selling all our best Championship players (in the early stages of last season)', then you could surely carry out any one-upmanship directly to them? Because it looks a little like the sort of bullshit that used to get trotted out all the time on both sides of the divide - bogus quotes out of context as being 'the other side', thereby making our particular stance the sensible one.

I have said all along, especially last season that another manager could do better with what we had. It's not directly aimed at anyone in particular, I'm just saying that massively bold statements were made last season saying no other manager could keep us up and that we wouldn't pay thorn off and that no other manager would apply anyway!

I also know someone who played for him there with much the same opinion.

It eas easy to say another manager would have done better but did you name Shaw? Would you have Shaw now? Who did you name last season? Would Shaw of saved us last season with the squad we had? If you say yes can you have said this being 100% sure? Would the result of the Prem have been different if they had each others managers?

Yes you can guess but we will never know.

The only thing we can be 100% sure of is that with Thorn last season we did get relegated.

Isn't it time you put the vendetta against Thorn to bed and move on?

He's gone, it's over, your dream has come true, now stop boring everyone!

Personally I don't blame Thorn at all for last season, its not his fault the squad was ripped apart. That said we looked a hundred times better last night, whether this is due to Shaw, due to losing Thorn or whether the players just clicked we won't know until we've seen more games.

I am quite happy to and only respond to factual innacuracies. It's others that can't leave it not me.

What is it Saturday

4-4-2
5-3-2
4-1-1-1-1-2

I can't sleep thinking about the endless possibilities.

Difference is, Thorn no longer has anything to with us, what formation we play clearly does, in fact all teams fan's discuss this
