Well done and thank you Mr Overson...

Wonder if my Granddad's still got that ac ac gun in his shed? No, she's the pilot.
Not sure he can directly due to whatever FFP requirements are in play. He would have to offer some investment from an ownership point of view/or sponsorship maybe.... however, my grasp of FFP is lacking I'm afraid. How likely is it Overson has put some money into the club for transfers over the last couple of years?

It is telling however, that he trusts the process that is currently ongoing and is willing to pay for changing rooms, functions/events.....
.....and has more trust in this than a takeover involving various other parties!!....... read into that what you will!!!
He's doing a wing walk
Couldn’t he just walk into the club shop and go “My god this keyring is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen, I’ll pay you £4m for it!”?
Haha... like that!!... who knows how FFP works.... lots of Champ clubs tried to circumvent it by selling their grounds to their owners and may be falling foul of it though I think!!Couldn’t he just walk into the club shop and go “My god this keyring is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen, I’ll pay you £4m for it!”?

I realise you’re being flippant, but isn’t that essentially what various clubs have done over the years, with ridiculous sponsorship deals and ‘selling’ the stadium for a gazillion pounds to themselves etc? Bound to be clubs who have gone through the regs with a fine-tooth comb looking for ways of injecting cash whilst circumventing the rules.Couldn’t he just walk into the club shop and go “My god this keyring is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen, I’ll pay you £4m for it!”?

Exactly. Like buying the naming rights to a stand and calling it shmmeee stand or something for 20millI am but I’m not. I genuinely can’t see how it’s enforceable with so many ways to get cash in for essentially nothing.

He's put money into the club for things like training ground improvements. If they were things that needed doing anyway then him paying for it frees up money for the player budget. Doubt we're operating at the limit of our FFP allowance so that would be a fairly easy way to get around it without anything flagging up as an issue. Not like he'll be putting millions in given the level we've been playing at the last few years. Not sure he can directly due to whatever FFP requirements are in play.
