Dike had a release clause of £20m, WBA actually paid around £7.5m up front to sign him plus add ons.
What suggests we could have afforded to loan him at the time?
That wasn’t what I said though. I am not in the mood to answer to a twat like you anymore, you are just making stuff up. Go and play on the M6I guess we couldn’t afford to loan him as he had a £20m release clause. Silly me

There have been some very questionable financial transactions from their owner lately. You'd think given what their y/e June 2022 financial statements say that their directors should be in pretty serious trouble

I Never Said he was worth 20 million. I have been off this forum all week as got a lot of stuff happening personally and only looked because I was tagged and surprise surprise it was you acting like a c**t. I don’t need this at the moment, I haven’t got the energy to put up with your inane childish bollocks. So please leave me alone nowWhat’s your problem? Another poster said didn’t someone say he was worth £20m I said it was you and @PVA which you’ve admitted it was. Get over it
Disgraceful it even gets that far. There have been some very questionable financial transactions from their owner lately.

So is there a difference between a player's release clause and their value or not? You're just arguing against yourself here, it's really weird, not to mention incredibly pathetic.
So why does a release clause mean we can’t afford to loan someone? I think you’re confusing yourself
The loan had an option to buy. Who are they more likely to loan him to, the club that says we could give you $20m if we get promoted, or the club that says we'll give you a packet of Skips if we avoid relegation?
Quite why we're arguing about a transfer that didn't even happen from 2 years ago is beyond me but sums up your contribution to this forum I guess.
The context of the conversation was I said we should’ve loaned him when Barnsley did.
Both @PVA and @procdoc found it hilarious and said we couldn’t afford to as he had a £20m option to buy. Quite the relevance that had to my comment I’m not too sure. I think they struggle to understand what a release clause means
PVA thought it was setting the fee so you’d have to pay £20 million to get his signature
I think he is struggling with the concept of irony.

Why are you just making things up?
You said he WILL cost £20 m
Taxi cancelled for Robins
Ched evans would have been perfect, shocking that we didn’t sign him I wouldn't describe not signing a 32 year old former prisoner who has scored 3 in 13 as 'shocking'www.skybluestalk.co.uk
Yes because if Barnsley wanted to sign him at the end of the loan he would have done. That was the agreement.
Christ.
But he could runI was chatting to a team mate of mine after playing at the weekend. He’s a Celtic fan - he goes to a few games - and has played at a high level. I was asking him who they’ve got nowadays. He seemed pretty unbiased about players skill sets etc.
Talked about Rangers, and was quite complimentary about them…went on to say that the rest of the league is absolute shite…”proper Sunday league stuff”.
I then remembered Ryan Kent played for Rangers, so mentioned him. First thing my mate said…”no end product”.
Vik PoM and Carrick MoM, let’s hope the manager curse is alive and active
Would like Luton to turn over Millwall, as I think they are the likeliest of the top 6 to fall out.
Would love 'Udders to do Blackburn today, too.
