Ok take out the opening line - it’s more of an acceptance that ultimately that would be the stance. They openly admitted it was the case.I’m not sure how that’s a defence

I am still surprised they allowed Robins enough slack to build a League 1 winning team. I like Knight but have never been overly impressed with Grant. 12 of his goals last season were penalties (he also missed 4) and he looks a bit lightweight for the championshipGrant and Knight would both walk into our team

only partly true, the core of the League 1 side was free or freeish acquisitions - Rose, Marosi, Dabo, Allen, MacFadz. Plus inherited Westbrooke, Hyam and Kelly from previous seasons. It wasn't only Walsh and O'Hare. We ceased this route to players last years and switched more to loans. This year we need a mixthe success of the last two years has been largely due to very successful loans which have been key to the club being promoted and then surviving
