Cardiff first. Take it game to game.I have to watch what I say about Norwich being top of the league and our low chances of getting anything from them
It's alright, we can throw in the towel in those games against Norwich and Bournemouth etc. because we'll win our winnable home games like Birmingham.I have to watch what I say about Norwich being top of the league and our low chances of getting anything from them

2 wins off mid table, still very tight and early
No other way to do it. 8 games until now until 19/12. I’m greedy though and want at least half the points but won’t end up like that.Absolutely.

Hard as possible sounds more likely. We have tried to entertain this season (playing ok, pens n fuck ups against us and avoidable sendings off). Not interested in entertaining right now. Just want 3 points against cardiffAll I ask is that we make every game as hard as possible for the other side. And if not that, at least make it entertaining
That ain’t happening with last night system we will lose to them if we adopt that again,532 it has to be we’ve done the budget on it we can’t abandon it now for some foreign system we haven’t used we got lucky last Niggt 1 half chance they should of beat usHard as possible sounds more likely. And also got rid of the things that are costing us. Small steps.I think for me it's that we've shown we can actually compete. We're so close to being a mid table team if we cut a couple of errors out. The frustrations of last night are that we got rid of things that were working for us.

We didn’t, we got away with the same errors.
they had two decent chances, are you seriously suggesting that it's realistic to expect a newly promoted team to not give away two decent chances to the opposition during a game?
Why say what I think to be honest, someone will twist it and another will shout it down-let’s see how it goes next week
you post your opinions on a public forum, people disagree with them and post their counter positions. That's how it works
The outcome was a clean sheet. Games where we play well and concede ‘unlucky’ goals the criticism seems to be we should have been more cautious. We were more cautious, didn’t concede a goal, and the criticism seems to be we should be more attacking. There will be very few games, no matter how well we play, where the opposition get zero chances. If we use the score as a measure, we were successful at not conceding. We didn’t, we got away with the same errors.
Yeah well it gets a bit tedious after a while. We were still giving the ball away quite happily and giving up sitters but we didn’t threaten at all either.
Again, let’s see how stodging the midfield and going 1 up front fares in next week’s games.

what happens next week doesn't alter the fact that we did not give away as many clear cut chances last night as in previous games. If I was arguing something that was plainly not true I 'd find it tedious as well.
This is the sort of thing I’m on about. I’d rather we spent the 2 week break working on our defensive mistakes instead of a system that nullifies our attacking threat.
We didn’t give much away against Reading either or Forest to be honest. Just the occasions we did we got punished
apart from 4 goals and 29 shots, 14 of which were on target as opposed to last nights 7 shots of which 2 were on target and 0 conceded. And yes, a shot on target can be from 30 yards that rolls into the goalies hands but I think it gives you the general picture.
How many of those were clear cut chances? Funny I remember Reading’s best chances were created by ourselves.
No matter though. You, G and CC4L can lap up the Christmas pudding
hopefully we'll be bottom by Christmas so you can give yourself a pat on the back and tell everyone I told you so.

This website is pretty good. xG isn’t conclusive but it gives a guide

A penalty is 0.76 I thinkHow much does a penalty affect those statistics?

Yeah that's obviously what I want isn't it.
I'm finding it increasingly difficult not to come to that conclusion. You are arguing black is white to be honest and you seem desperate to be proven right. But carry on, I'll look forward to bumping some of your shite at the end of the season.
Does it honestly look like I'm a happy chappy when we throw points away? Still at least you've got the guy wanting the manager sacked (but not really) on your side.
what the fuck are you on about now?
