He has pace, strength, height and a powerful shot on him, or at least more of those than a typical forward at our level. He's got the physical attributes to dominate in this leagueIsn't that the case with many footballers ?
With Wilder it's all about his character, mind you Neil Warnock was also quite despised for his similar uncompromising attitudes but I think he turned that impression round rather, I note he's still working in football as an advisor at Torquay United even at the age of 76.He's objectively a good manager, I am not sure what the problem people have with him is. What he did with Sheffield Utd in his first spell was brilliant really.
I genuinely think he’s been a little hard done by this season and think Robins should’ve stuck with him. While he wasn’t scoring and missed a couple of chances/half-chances I thought he was leading the line well. Then he was dropped and started looking like he did when he first signed. I think this in part is because we have one too many forwards for the system we played.
It’ll be interesting to see what Lampard does when everyone’s fit.
Can't believe how well Rowett has started thereHoping Oxford win this one. Would like them to prove me wrong and stay up
Can't believe how well Rowett has started there
He's a really solid manager at this level, but yeah he's doing better than expected. It's ideal for him really though as he's good at making teams hard to beat. Millwall sacking him has been a disaster for them really. Can't believe how well Rowett has started there
TBF I don't think we play to Simms strengths, we seem blinded by the fact he's a unit and keep lumping it up to him. He's shown repeatedly that he is really good at carrying the ball 30-40 yards and forcing something from out wide.Simms and Cannon are too different IMO. Think Simms offers more in build up and general play, perhaps Cannon better finisher. But hypothetically if there was a straight swap deal on the table I’m not sure I’d take it.
One thing though, bringing another player into the convo. If Cannon goes for £10m, CCFC shouldn’t entertain anything less than £30m for Haji Wright. Seriously.
And his jumping for headers is really bad!!! He keeps mistiming them!TBF I don't think we play to Simms strengths, we seem blinded by the fact he's a unit and keep lumping it up to him. Even though they are some way above the drop zone right now I can see Millwall going down. He's a really solid manager at this level, but yeah he's doing better than expected. I mean they count but they're not a solid indicator of match output. Would you rather have a striker who scored 20 goals (8 from the spot) or one that scored 18 but all from open play?4
Why do people pretend penalties don't count ?
Either way who actually cares , I just gave my opinion and it might be right it might be wrong
I sympathise! And his jumping for headers is really bad!!! He keeps mistiming them!

Good luck Ellis!!Hearing reports that he’s just jumped for a header he will be competing for in the 12th minute of the game.
Ah yeah, the curse of the ‘big lad’.I sympathise!
Back in my Sunday league days I was pigeon holed as a CB or a target man when I was in fact a 10 all due to me being a big lad!
I also couldn't grasp timing jumps for airal duels
We got a glimpse what Simms and Wright did against Wolves and Man United...what they are capable ofI wouldnt be surprised if we do well in the next two to see us stick with the formation and play Wright and Simms in a two
He's much better when we put the ball in the channel and let him go one on one with a defender.TBF I don't think we play to Simms strengths, we seem blinded by the fact he's a unit and keep lumping it up to him. Same although was decent in the air.I sympathise!

In my time I was compared to Kris Boyd quite often. Lethal left footed shot but gasping for air within 5 minutesSame although was decent in the air.
My brain thought I was a tricky winger though. My body didn't agree.
We need a Cov Sunday league thread…if there isn’t one already…maybe not 40 mins before kickoff.
thats me how. play 7 and 8 a side and when i try anything mildly technical and it doesn’t come off im like “i promise you in my head that was class you should’ve seen it”Same although was decent in the air.

Love it. Last minute equaliser to the bottom of the leagueSunderland
