Mental drop off, mental.Luton really are fucking garbage, what the hells happened there
They aren't staying up
He probably still has some Prem interest but if not, go all in I say.Assume Alfie Doughty would be out of our price range?
They had a decent go really. They have made a strategic decision, playing a longer game.Cant help but think what a shambles Luton made of the prem. absolutely no attempt at staying up or building the team. What a kick in the teeth for us as I think we would have made a far better go of it
No they changed the format, we only played one leg against Wycombe in the SF the season we won it.
It was nearly 10 years ago, christ.
I would hope if we manage to go up. We do similar, buy the ground, massively invest in the training ground, etc. Set us up properly, give it a go but be smart with players and contracts, with an eye on going again in the Champ. Saying that, I'd be furious if I was a Luton fan with a serious chance of back to back relegations.Cant help but think what a shambles Luton made of the prem. absolutely no attempt at staying up or building the team. Their longer game is likely to put them back in league 1 that I cant see them getting out of very soon. Reminds me of people that said it would do us good when we got relegated from the prem thinking we would piss the league and go straight back upThey had a decent go really. I think the parachute payments stop if they get relegated again, definitely not part of the long term plan...Their longer game is likely to put them back in league 1 that I cant see them getting out of very soon. Don't think relegation this season was in the plans either. Look at how many tipped them to go straight back up.I think the parachute payments stop if they get relegated again, definitely not part of the long term plan...

A player under contract has a say but can't force anything.Their players will be an available at rock bottom prices as they will be forcing moves away.
Luton are a good example of what happens if you get promoted to the PL before you’re ready.
I’m not sure what would’ve happened to us if we’d have gone up. It would’ve been sensible for us to use some of the windfall to sort out a long term arrangement over the ground. However I’m sure that would’ve been a lot less expensive than Luton having to build a whole new stadium.
You’d think we would’ve had a bit more money left over to invest in the squad
Was speaking to Dave boddy about that. He genuinely felt that in yok and Hamer we had two players of genuine top quality and that we could make a better fist of it than LutonLuton are a good example of what happens if you get promoted to the PL before you’re ready.

Who knows eh
It's all about surviving the first season in the Prem. It needs to be done without taking risks. What is needed is putting together a lower Prem side that's good enough for the Championship without breaking the bank on wages. We already have some players good enough for this like Wright, Rudoni, EMC and Dovin. What we do have is team togetherness.Luton are a good example of what happens if you get promoted to the PL before you’re ready.
