Chaplin has a 1 in 3 goal scoring record with us. Ponti has a 1 in 7 at a lower level.Chaplin to me looks like an u23 player who should be in the development squad he’s pretty much on par with Ponti for me
It’s not even just missing chances which yes have been awful it’s his all round play first few weeks I rated him his over all game has been awful his so slow in everything he does really wanted the lad to do well but I just can’t see a player in there maybe with a target man tho that might change

We didn't buy the finished article, we bought a 21 year old with potential and he definitely has that. I'm as frustrated as anyone about the chances he's been missing but at least he is consistently getting into the right positions.
I'll pull up some of your posts waxing lyrical about him if you likeIt’s not even just missing chances which yes have been awful it’s his all round play first few weeks I rated him his over all game has been awful his so slow in everything he does really wanted the lad to do well but I just can’t see a player in there maybe with a target man tho that might change
I forgot penalties aren't real goals. 23% of Harry Kanes goals, have been penalties, someone better break the news to him...But Chaplin plays 90 mins every game - Ponto has a few where he just about managed to get to the centre circle before blowing for full time. Plus Chaplin has had penaties.

Pulling at very bare strings there.
We paid a fee, reported to be what I quoted, when you have a player come in for that fee you expect better than a player who requires four or five chances to score.
Some of the chances Chaplin has missed have been shambolic, the weekend against Blackpool as an example.
As stated when he come I fort there was a player in there his movement etc looked and still is good it’s the rest of his game play frustrating to watchI'll pull up some of your posts waxing lyrical about him if you like
Make your mind upAs stated when he come I fort there was a player in there his movement etc looked and still is good it’s the rest of his game play frustrating to watch
Lol at first he looked a player now he looks bang averageMake your mind up
Do you think that could be due to things like the system or where he is playing? Don't get me wrong he pisses me off most games but I don't think he was scouted to play in midfield.Lol at first he looked a player now he looks bang average
Yes defo with a target man who knows but we haven’t seen that yetDo you think that could be due to things like the system or where he is playing? Don't get me wrong he pisses me off most games but I don't think he was scouted to play in midfield.
I do think he would play better with someone like Biamou...Do you think that could be due to things like the system or where he is playing? Don't get me wrong he pisses me off most games but I don't think he was scouted to play in midfield.
Yep-Farndon “recommendation” when he came back. As if he knows a good player when he sees one.:emoji_rolling_eyes:Jch was somebody in the youth setup if I remember?
Sterling I assume was viveash as was westbrook
I like Clarke-Harris, I'd start him instead of all this weird get him angry and send him on after an hour stuff.
