Doubt Chris Dunn was on a great wage. Expect him to sign for Northampton shortly :)

I actually thought he had left earlier in the summer, was he in the bomb squad?

Craig Reid in then I would expect.

Maybe the trialist who played in the U21 game. Name didn't get released though. Or that Scottish CB who played in pre season.

I doubt he'll be missed.

Gives Burge a chance to step up and see if he's got what it takes.

May I remind you these are the people who gave Roy O'Donovan a contract

I think it could be reid because he will be on minuscule wages considering he's only played for teams like greenock morton and queen of the south

The Scottish CB - Webster ?
He has already played a league game for us

Around 90k a year so 68k is now available. Don't think we'll be worrying Real Madrid and Monaco with our extra available funds.

If "Spud" Murphy is still injured for the week-end, Burge will be used, but then we'll need cover for him! I was a decent goalie in my day. I'd pull my boots on if asked, but at 60, I doubt if my dodgy knees and dicky ticker would be up to it!

He is talking about Craig Reide who played in our pre-season as a Trialist. Looked reasonably handy too. Haven't heard that he has signed for anyone else and we need CB's pronto so wouldn't be at all surprised to see him come in.

Edit: Now that SISU have filed the accounts isnt the embargo lifted anyway? So we shouldn't be bound to the one in one out rule anymore?

It would be a hard decision, but I'd HAVE to let Oggy win, simply on experience!

Always thought that we would have been better off putting another outfield player on that have Dunn in goal. - Ice Hockey Tactics!! hahahaha

Shocking keeper. Even dropped the pen when we signed him.

I know you are joking but it's a desperation move in ice hockey that has much more chance of costing you a goal than getting you one. It's just who cares if you lose 5-3 instead of 4-3

Boothroyd seems to be building a strong league 1 squad over there. He must be rubbing his hands with all his Cov squad (who were in play off position until injuries took a toll) becoming free agents. Funny how they leave Cov to go to Northampton.

This is my guess. To leave where the other players are still bombing around, he's got to have something lined up.

I'm guessing he was on no more than £2k/wk so now that puts us in the position to get somebody in...........on £1.5k/wk. God, what have we become? Not even bargain basement scraps could get someone for that! I'd want more if they asked me to play!!

Timing is a bit iffy too. Could've done with him on the bench at least tomorrow. Who do we have as backup for our under 12 keeper?!

As I said above, now that SISU have filed accounts the embargo should be lifted so i dont think we are bound by the one in one out, 75% of the wage rules anymore. Or at least it should be in the process of being lifted.

Don't the accounts have to be signed off by the league? And the liquidation issue has not been resolved yet has it? I'm sure when the embargo is lifted, we will hear all about it but SISU will still work on a '1 in/1 out' policy and use the FFP as an excuse!

Im sure the FL said that the liquidation didnt matter in footballing terms now that the golden share has been moved to holdings. I would guess they will sign off the accounts quite quickly now as thats one less stick to beat them with. As you say though, I dont expect SISU to go out and splash the cash.

So far only SISU Capital have submitted accounts, not Holdings or Otium. So FL have no accounts to look at for the golden share holder.
Unless of course there discretion says they can look at somebody else's accounts

I thought he'd gone at the end of last season. Says it all. I used to know everything about the playing squad before SISU ruined football for me.

Glad he's gone though, not good enough.

and then the bomb squad was down to four.

Fair play to Pressley he is doing what he has to with FFP and lour current situation.
To be honest though would be better if they had got rid of Sheff,Edge or Jennings as all three prob on more money than Dunn!

Think we just have four left - Sheff, Jennings, Malaga & Edge now.

TBH wish Sheff and Edge leave next as fed up of people banging on about them, never justified their wage, move them on and move on now I say!

I'm amazed Sheff and Jennings are still here. I thought that SPL clubs would be falling over themselves to sign Jennings, he is a proven performer up there and well liked from what my Scottish mates tell me. I was convinced that Sheff would sign for Northampton as well but I guess they would have done it by now if they were going to.

Edge and Malaga we are stuck with I fear, might as well just pay up their contracts in full now because they are only going to sit there taking up space.

Sheff is in this 30s now isn't he and probably on a decent wage for the level he's been playing at. A lot of clubs are looking to make savings so may not match his wages and he might not fancy moving his wife and kids out of the area if he thinks he's only got a year or two left in him.

I'd have Edge back in, he can't be on that much money and while he did make mistakes last year while we have a small squad surely he's worth having around as a bit of cover?
