That performance away at Brentford was pathetic. An absolute donkey. Callum Wilson was head and shoulders above him.

It would be typical him going on to win everything in his career.

Looks like he'll be a good player though. He was turd for us, but it's another nail in the coffin for football fans knowing anything about players in reality. Get football manager fired up.

If he actually tried when playing for us, he would have been quality.

that was always the problem it didnt matter what he was told by pressley or how pressley wanted him to play cause pressley wasnt his boss he showed up on a friday for pre game training and was back at arsenal by monday to train in their U21's whoever signed off that loan deal should be shot it was stupid

Zero goals in all three of his loan spells suggests he may struggle to transition from youth football to first team as many have done before, Nathan Delfouneso for example. A certain Yaya Sanogo scored four in the Emirates Cup last season and he's achieved fuck all since. The next youth star to come through at Arsenal will be Danny Crowley, much better than Akpom. Saying 'Get football manager fired up' and thus deeming all football fans opinion's on players bullshit is a tad harsh.

That was the issue
I think non footballing men making decisions without considering the bigger picture

TM won't allow it

One of the stupidest deals I can remember at any club. Was never going to work. Not all his fault. Can't be easy to play in L1 in one system and head to an airport straight after that game so he can play in an entirely different system at a different level elsewhere. Long term pros would struggle.

If he was shite then he wouldn't still be on Arsenals books, let alone with the first team squad on their pre season tour. I agree he contributed nothing to us but as others have noted he was playing for us and training for Arsenal. That is something that wouldn't work at semi-pro level, let alone professional

Not sure about that, Arsenal held on to players like Graham Barrett until he was 22. They don't produce that many top class players.

Saw him quite a bit when he was here and he was less than impressive. I know some have blamed Pressley for it and maybe he can shoulder some of the blame, but you could tell that Akpom really didn't want to be here.

Blaming Pressley for everything is a very easy option, because nobody is really going to come forward and defend him. There was plenty of evidence to show Pressley had lost his way, but some heaped some fiction on for good measure.

Crowley had a nightmare when he came on yesterday, however will be a very good player I agree.

How about dan Crowley on loan need a creative player and he would want to prove a point being a cov kid .be good for both parties

Saw him play away at either Peterborough or Colchester and he looked totally lethargic and uninterested,(probably comes under lethargy).

he was just strolling about thinking he was way above playing for us. I thought he was well below league one as he showed no ability at all,and his attitude the game I saw was insulting to the great skyblue shirt he had on.

I think he will never be a regular first teamer at Arsenal

No thanks, at 17 is too young to bring on loan.

Can't help but find this hilarious. He's going to go on loan to a Championship club anyway, but he would piss League One.

haven't seen dc play so can't comment

Wenger picked him and only 2 other youths to go on the preseason tour.
Roy Hodgson has taken time out for him.
So fingers crossed he will be a Cov Kid from a good footballing family do well

It's not really that funny. He plays in the same position as Maddison, Maddison is class and he's ours. Why would we bring this lad from arsenal in, in which we would have to promise to play him regularly and not develop our own player? He may very well go out to a championship club, where I'm sure in a squad full of seasoned pro's not a squad full of kids like ours.. There is more to being a footballer and more to being a good team than just being a technically good player, you need the right balance in the squad. Look at the difference between Chuba now and Chuba 2 years ago. His highlights video made him look class at the time too. Funny really an edited highlights real can make anyone look class - we've already seen Maddison's, lumaires, Cian Harris's, and the other young midfielders highlights this summer.
