So those who run Coventry City are playing the awkward card Saturday. Firstly only entrances 28/29 will be open for those coming in after 15 minutes, they say they can't spare any more staff to open more turnstiles, must be expecting a last minute rush of 20000 then. Also it appears that those who have pre-paid can only gain entrance by ticket which must be collected at the ticket office which is more or less where the demo will be, an excuse for a large number of orange cladded knuckle draggers to congregate in the area of the demo. how cute !. And apparently they intend to search people coming in late in case they have a banner stored in their nether regions.
What else do they have in store as they will be desperate to create a bad boy image to the protesters and those going be on your guard as i am certain they would love a few banning orders to be dished out.
It is your right to demonstrate. It is my right to gain peaceful entry to the ground and watch the game in relative peace. I am sure there are health and safety issues and staffing considerations once the match has started, hence the desire to allow the demonstrators entry in an orderly manner - or would you prefer SISU to deny you entry for dramatic effect? - Why must you look for conspiracies all the time?
So why do something so counter productive as only having 2 turnstiles open? There could be 2,000 people trying to get through just two at 3:15-the busiest time of the day! Doesn't sound very safe to me. And as you'll be in your seat by 3pm, how on earth does it effect you in any way? Is it going to disturb your peace and quiet, having people getting to their seat when you've just got comfortable? You're just having a snipe because you don't approve of the protests. :jerkit:
Because anybody with half a brain so i assume that includea you will know 2 turnstiles and that will be one for the Telegraph stand and one for the the larger and busier Tesco stand is inapropriate, i am hoping and don't rule out the old bill ordering the opening of an exit gate to prevent congestion, they have done that before.

I am glad you feel better about yourself. By all means disagree but keep the profanities to yourself. You know nothing of me yet you presume to insult me. No wonder the fan base is split if your attitude is endemic amongst those who seek to impose their opinions upon others without thought or respect for differing views.
What profanities? You state your view, I either;
a) Respond saying how I disagree, or
b) Take the WUM bait.
Either way, you need to grow a thicker skin or stay away from internet forums! It really is no place for a lady like you, Miss Whitehouse
It was and I believe they are still there, but it seems sisu won't comply yet. Had they done so 3 or 4 months ago we would perhaps be a lot higher up the table, would they be better than sisu ? Don't know, but could it be any worse ? under the circumstances think i would take the chance. One of your 1st posts relayed the joyous news that CCFC were on the brink of a take over.
A virtual gaggle of billionaires had danced in the corridors of The Ricoh adorned in Sky Blue suits.
News was imminent.
Any more information yet?
Well at least tell me what my profanity was! I'm having real difficulty spotting it.
You're the paranoid one, pal-I didn't post conspiracy theories, I just said it was darn inconsiderate and stupid.
My WUM comment was a reference to others comments on here, and I didn't really agree with it. Now I think I do, actually: you seem to go out of your way to hunt for anti-SISU issues, even when they aren't there, in order to argue your agenda.

Of course there are dodgepots, sisu IMO being one. We can only hope these people being introduced by City nutcases such as Hoffman and Keys hae been rigourlously vetted. As Hoffman is about as high as you can get in the finance world and has considerable contacts within our Government i'll have to trust him, who else is there ? If nothing happens we may well not exist as we know it by May.The Birmingham City fans thought that when they eventually got rid of Sullivan / Gold / Brady, swapping them the the new multi-millionaire saviour Carsen Yeung. It could indeed be worse and I am not prepared to take a chance without knowing who the investor(s) are, the nature and extent of the investment, the key personnel, and the business strategy moving forward.
I still think we should be careful what we wish for. Yes, Hoffman is a City fan and if the money for any proposed takeover was his then I would be a lot happier. However, basically he's convinced investors to (hopefully) pump money into the Club he supports.

I'll chance Mf Hoffman has a little bit of a brain when it comes to money.
Well said and you omitted including Government connections, why else did MP Damien Collins stand up in the House and mention little Coventry City's plight. As a result the whole board have jumped ship.Thing is we, as fans, can't do due diligence on potential owners - all we can do is hope they are better.
If I could choose one man to find investors and do all the due diligence for me then that man would surely be Hoffman.
- He has the expertise required
- He has incredibly wealthy connections and is respected
- He LOVES this football club

No, we can't do DD on potential owners and that's a shame.
However, just because he LOVES the club doesn't mean he will be able to make it a success. I know he was on the board but he didn't RUN the club which he will be doing, so it that respect he is still a novice.
I agree he has expertise, but not in running a football club.
I just hope our faith in him isn't misplaced because as with the SISU takeover it seems we have a choice of one.
So you want Hoffman in and sisu out but your not prepared to get off your arse and do anything about it?

Good luck tomorrow guys. Sorry I can't be there. Keep us updated on here of how it goes. Hope it remains peaceful and thank-you for fighting for our beloved club.
Special thanks to those not going to the game either. SAVE OUR CITY and PUSB.
