Coventry City are interested in out-of-favour Manchester City winer Kelvin Etuhu, according to latest speculation.

The 22-year-old, who can play either on the right wing or as a striker, is set to be released by the Eastlands club, according to website Minmex.

However the site reports that the Sky Blues will face competition for the Nigerian star from Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest, QPR and Blackpool.

I wonder if he will come here, I think we were linked before and he came to watch a game?

To be honest I don't think it will happen because he's exactly the kind of player we need, pacy, delivers a good ball, strong etc. Think he'd make a real difference in our play off push!

I (genuinely) train in the gym with his middle brother Michael, so I will try and get the inside track and get back to you all.

I've heard that David Bell will go this transfer window so maybe we are having a new winger?

I have found out that he had talks with us in August but wasn't happy with the offer.
He ideally wants a move to a London club although he is discussing options abroad.
All of his negotiations are struggling however because he has a court case coming up, so this will probably be a no goer!

Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed that he will not be making a move for Manchester City winger Kelvin Etuhu.
The Coventry boss was rumoured to be among a number of managers looking to secure the services of the 22-year-old Nigerian, but he has put an end to that speculation.

"We looked at him and there was an opportunity to do something with him in the summer," Boothroyd told the Coventry Telegraph.
"He has got a terrific record but we have got players who are in the groove here and just getting it."

You reckon the emergence of Carl Baker of the last couple of games is what Aidy is referring to by "players are in the groove here and just getting it"? I imagine out on the right is where Etuhu would play if we had him, but with Baker starting to perform really well out there, we don't really need to bring someone in for that slot.

Wat is it we really need? I agree wiv jimthor, baker is starting to find his groove. But I believe etuhu, wen settled, will b a premier league winger without a doubt, its just his mentality that's questionable and we've seen Wat AB did wiv the king at watford and again now. So wats AB thinkin?? Does he believe that the signing of etuhu will disturb baker and that wen baker gets into the swing of things he's good enough for the PL, that's why there were rumours of brum wanting him earlier in the season? I don't know, pure speculation, but still quite interesting......

ì dont think we need him as with baker when he hit top form hopefully and has a cracking second half of the season clubs will come looking in the summer which i believe aidy can see this and has opted not o need a winger plus selling mcindoe put baker at ease a bit too.
