Love it. I was 7 and this was my first season going to games. Wasn't at this one, but this was Stein & Hutchison's debut games for us. Selling Blockley and Quinton Young to bring those 2 in was one of our better pieces of business. What a player Willie Carr was too.

Even today, I can still feel the butterflies of anticipation I had back then when we signed Colin and Tommy. And I still love that sky blue and navy kit!
It was Tommy Hutchison's debut. Colin Stein made his debut the week before in a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace so it was his home debut. Two great signings, Hutch was our greatest ever player in my view.
One of my very early games with my Dad as an 11 year old
Dont specifically remember the game but will watch it later and reminisce about happy childhood days
My Dad has really advanced dementia now and it would be great to sit and watch it with him but sadly not to be.
Remember that game well, stood on the corner between West End and the Sky Blue terrace next to a crowd of Rangers fans there to support their idol Colin Stein. That day though Hutchison was outstanding.
Great game. Watched that with my Dad from the Paddock in front of the Main Stand. Hutch was brilliant that day which doesn't really show from the highlights.
A few nice pieces of play from Mick Coop in those clips. He was an underrated player I think.
That game was the start of a great run which ended when we were knocked out of the cup by Wolves in the quarter finals. I was convinced that this was going to be our year. I was in my final year at school and I remember the teacher stopped the class early so we could listen to the cup draw, twelve O’Clock on a Monday on the radio. Great excitement when we came out with Wolves.Unfortunately Dougan and Richards proved to be more potent on the day than Stein and Alderson.
