Why all the fannying around ?

Only one solution ,which Is reducing the population and setting us back about a hundred years.

Maybe nature will produce It's own answer before It becomes an extinction event?

I for one am pretty tired of scientists like myself being blamed for the public's shambolic lack of knowledge on even basic issues related to this. Even more tired of politicians jumping on anything we say and distorting it for their own agenda.

So should we reduce the population or be less consumptive as a society or is it too late,r carry on regardless?

On the politician front they've used it as a tax raising vehicle but as soon as we hit economic straits abandon it ,it's hard to take it seriously with such mixed messages.

What happens with pretty much every population besides humans is that it reaches a 'steady state', where population growth is kept in check by disease, predators, food availability and so on. We have found ways of bypassing all of these factors and so the human population continues to grow and so without some kind of major disaster we will run out of space and resources at some point. That will probably not be within this century however there is only a finite amount of resource and land for us to live with.
