I picked up on that as well. I have never heard him speak before and was pleasantly surprised at how articulate and thoughtful he sounded (a future Manager maybe?)

thought he came over well. Also think he is right. There are some players playing for themselves eg McSheffery (another poor game ) why does he insist on shooting from stupid positions He also said that the senior players were no helping the young lads. There is little evidence of senior leaders on the pitch Akso telling were his comments about how quiet we were on the pitch, he compared us to Saints who were very vocal, demanding the best from each other. The importance of communication cannot be under stated

Platt partially at fault for the third goal considering he had only been on for 20 mins made no effort to close down Fox prior to the cross. does come accross well on the radio though.

Platt is always articulate in his interviews, is a great team-player, if not the most gifted, and spoke perfect sense today. Something of a rallying call, I would say.

It was notable today that in the first half Christie was very vocal. In general, our players didn't communicate enough-and when they did it in the first half, it was to moan at each other. It improved a bit in the 2nd, notably with Sammy pointing a bit. Sadly not enough at the back for the goals. Hey, who would have ever thought we'd be missing Clinton "point around and shout a lot" Morrison in terms of team-work?!

Very interesting comments from Platt.... I echo his comments about the senior players, and Thorn's comments after the Millwall game also reflect his opinion.

Willis also looks a decent prospect.

Juke was guilty today of playing for himself. Shooting from all angles, when a pass would have been a much better option. Think he was just trying to impress his family and friends who made the trip.

Platt is probably fed up. As things go he is a commited team player and should start all matches in the current squad. Mcdonald is keeping him out the team only because he is Thorne's one signing and he looks dire.

Platt generally looks weak when he starts, but against tired legs, usually has an impact as sub. Cody shows glimpses, but his effort today was pathetic. He should be sent to train with Freddy. Platt deserves to start ahead of him after today, but that just illustrates how limited our options are. That's why we wonder if Freddy could do any worse-he couldn't have been much more lazy than Cody first half.

To be fair to McDonald it looked as though he was asked to play out wide on the left with Juke up front on his own for large parts of the first half-he ain't gonna score from that position or link with Jukey either.
I think he needs to see the ball in front of him to be effective and since we only pass sideways or backwards it looks like is destined to be a flop anyway.

Ha!! Reaching for a criticism there. You know he's a striker right? Paid to score goals? I like that fact he was keen to have a go. In recent seasons in been frustrating to see our forwards passing sideways when a shot is on.

If you don't buy a ticket you can't win the lottery.

A lot of the players cite Platt as the most intelligent player in the squad. He's got some kind of finance qualification.

Wears a nifty pair of intellectual glasses apparently! :D

We seem to havea lot of good 17 and 18 year olds so maybe the future isn't as black as we think, but I'm finding it very hard to be optimistic tonight.

99 senior goals for Platt today.
