II'm a driven man. t's enjoyable getting up and working wih players, picking a team and trying to win games. This is the right chalenge. It's a project here. I have no ego to go to the Premier League. I want Coventry fans to be happy.

That's the spiritNot fit to lace Mark Robins boots, let alone manage this football club. He’s been appointed because he’s Frank Lampard, he’s a name, he’s done nothing in football management that gives me any hope or excitement at this appointment. Sooner he is gone the better

I think in the UK there are way more unsuccessful managers who were top players than those who do well. For us, Butcher and Reid immediately come to mind. Strachan's record was mixed, Milne was OK and Stuart Pearce was pretty poor. The further back you go, the worse it was with Managers like Hurst and Bobby Charlton. The odd ones like Jack Charlton were good but the exception rather than the rule. I feel it is a little different with foreign managers like Pep and Zidane. There is no hard and fast rule at all. The most successful current manager in football played at the highest level and played for his country.
Dumped already! He’s quit already. One training session, said he was off to the toilet and now he’s nowhere to be found.

Not surprised at all. It will surely have been spoken about but it would be daft to reveal in a press conference before a ball has been kicked on match day.No talks with doug about expectations this season or about January?
Bit weird

Me, 100% and I think you'll find all my friends from the "JFK didn't actually die and is working as a Janitor for an Alaskan High School, under the alias Ken Fitzgerald-Johson" club, would all agreeDoes anyone actually believe this rubbish, that the announcement was delayed to avoid difficult games?

Have you ever not tried to start an argumentDoes anyone actually believe this rubbish, that the announcement was delayed to avoid difficult games?
You flip a coin 10 times and it lands on heads each time doesn't change the odds on the next flip. Past means nowtWhilst I would love to agree with you, history would indicate UK ex quality players usually are not great managers/head coaches. We will see. Need to wait and see.
Because elite players are a minority to begin with is the obvious answerI think in the UK there are way more unsuccessful managers who were top players than those who do well.
