1) Chaplin seems to have an affinity with the Pompey fans and doesn’t seem the type to threaten that. As an aside McNulty never did either it’s just his agent told Robins that an unsettled player might get sulkyI do wonder what Chaplin & his agent think about all this. McNulty's agent forced the move through for him by stating that he wouldn't be happy if the move didn't happen.
Surely Chaplin's agent must be thinking about a move of some kind (ka-ching) and I would be surprised if he's not given Jackett some sort of ultimatum regarding his player - play me or let me go is the usual line.
Maybe Jackett has told him you can go when I say so, and not before.I do wonder what Chaplin & his agent think about all this. McNulty's agent forced the move through for him by stating that he wouldn't be happy if the move didn't happen.

Does feel like we've mugged ourself here. Sold cheap with no replacement and seemingly no backup targets.
Trying to keep the faith but each day we get closer to kick off it does get harder. Let's remember as well we are a direct competitor to Pompey and it's in their interest to leave us with no goalscorer come the start of the season. I wouldn't put it past them to string us along all summer.
I think people are getting a bit fixated on this
Robins has excellent contacts within the game and will be looking at alternatives
We all need to relax

To be fair to Robins we don't actually know how he is conducting his transfer business as he doesn't mouth off in the press like lots of the others do.I'm not worried about MR bringing in replacements. It's more the fact it's a little bit embarrassing on our end. KJ has made us look fairly weak IMO as he's strung us along for 2 weeks now. At the end of the day MR should have lined up a replacement sooner, there's no arguing that. It's understandable that the McNulty fiasco happened fairly swiftly but why not keep Reading waiting for at least another week or two? He was under contract and we let his agent engineer the move within a week and at the drop of a hat that was that. Now I don't agree with Pompey's methods as I think they've treated Chaplin appallingly, however at least they've shown they've got some balls about them.
I like how Robins has handled it in the press but how he's handled it on the transfer front hasn't been his finest moment. But if Chaplin signs then fair enough it was worth the wait but I think this should be the first and last time he goes about business like this.

Which I don't mind at all if Amy Adams is our manager. The first rule of negotiation is being ready to walk away
If the other side knows you're desperate you'll have your trousers taken down

No its a fail I am not sure Geoff Foster could interview her without dribbling and saying nothing
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but why would Mo Eisa go to Pompey when they only play one up front and they have an established striker already?
No, I tell her my username is Grendel.Does your wife ever see your posts Otis (no euphemism intended) ?
I don't buy that I'm afraid, unless Pompey are thinking of selling Pitman? Which I doubt.Because if they are paying over a million for someone in league one it is likely for them to be first choice.
