The game hasn't changed that much, it's an easy get out for the Sky generation.I missed it so didn't hear the context.
It's hard to say, yes for their passion and their name but I'd bet the game has changed a lot since then.
Can't really think of many from my time I'd be begging to come back
Fair play again on the good thread

George and John put together a team that was defensively sound, hardworking but with the guile and flair to get a goal.
Most importantly, they instilled in the players belief and a great will to win. The ability to do that is massive and better than analysing ball retention or other stats that seems to be seen as something great in modern managers.

You cad you .Andy Thorn. ACL were doing well until he left and stopped buying all the pies.
Good shouts .Off the ones who could realistically return, in no particular order Dowie, Black and Robins.
Definitely !Gordon Milne.
Gordon Strachan.
He's 79 ffs! and let's be honest was only deemed to be any good once he left.Gordon Milne.
Roland Nilsson
The bloke is class
Did wonder about him.Forgot about Nilsson. He'd be worth considering. Hasn't he had a promotion or two as a manager since leaving us? Could be just what we need.
Did wonder about him.
Can't think of many modern managers who have gone on to do much after us, coleman for Wales maybe but does that count?
Not many, probably only Nilsson or Robins. I'd have had Black back but he's not showed any desire to manage, surprised a few have mentioned Dowie - I wouldn't have him back, thr cup performances gloss over the fact his league record was no better than Coleman's.

Exactly and still lives near by. Might be looking for one last job before he retires.Might be looking for a job shortly.
If he retires in about 6 months, this job should be just the ticket for him.Exactly and still lives near by. Might be looking for one last job before he retires.
It's hardly a literal thread is it you muppet! He's 79 ffs! and let's be honest was only deemed to be any good once he left.
