It’s bizarre...it looks like it’s never going to get finished....... the Royal is rough...I slept on the floor there as no seats when a family member was ill .....Of course is doesn't help that the Liverpool Royal is fucked & should have been flattened about 5 years ago now....the nice shiny new one is still empty & awaiting further remedial works....thanks a fucking bundle Carrilion....cunts.
Sorry about that- staff down due to self isolating?Boris says he's keeping schools under 'continuous review'. My school was down 20-30 staff today, most of us are doing cover each day now. We were also down about 15% of the student roll. We're not going to be able to keep this going for much longer.
What was Boris’ press conference like?

Back up in my opinion great new headI used to teach there. Really gone down hill in recent years
His was appalling, as expected. Just lots of rambling without making any points or revealing any detail, just standard Johnson blustering.
Sunak however was very impressive. It's amazing how much difference it makes when someone speaks confidently and concisely, much more calming and reassuring to listen to him. He made Johnson look like a toddler.
He'll be PM one day I'm sure, or Tory leader at least.

He was awful, nothing to counter the paradox of thrift and prop up demand. It is a case of kicking their collapse down the road. His was appalling, as expected. Just lots of rambling without making any points or revealing any detail, just standard Johnson blustering.

Sunak comes across as a 6th form debating captain
Yeah, it occurred to me today there are many roles that, perhaps, we might recognise as more important than we value them at present.Mostly yes, with a few for other reasons. I know that we're doing an important role in keeping health workers available but we're under heavy strain ourselves at the moment.

I know nobody will want to hear this but... how on earth are we going to pay for all this? They have put forward a pretty far reaching package of support, with more to follow.
You are 100% right, my wife works in a pharmacy and currently spends all day organising queues to get prescriptions as fast as possible to stop the place turning into a free for all. That’s all she does, but she says she gets more respect now than she ever did before.Yeah, it occurred to me today there are many roles that, perhaps, we might recognise as more important than we value them at present.
The bin men, the checkout assistants, the care home workers... all jobs that this country *needs* to keep going at the moment, or we end up in serious trouble.

haha- in a bad way?

Yes, as I say, making Boris look like a toddler.
Exactly what I was thinking when Trump conjures up multiple billions of dollars ‘for the economy’.
I bet China are thinking; ‘ey up’
As I said there is nothing to help demand.Still going. Pretty impressive press conference (more economic based). They have put forward a pretty far reaching package of support, with more to follow. Sure it won’t be enough for many but certainly a positive steps (certainly when some were suggesting they weren’t going to do anything significant). Hopefully it helps, it definitely will in the short to medium term, depends on how long this all lasts though
At a very special rate following the “Chinese virus” comments no doubt.
Yeah it's all about the posh accent and gesticulating with the appearance of confidence
Same suspects moaning even when Boris tries to do things to help in this crisis
i have never heard much from him. I’ll take a look.
Honestly what a twat
