The 'logic' is they restrict airflow, and you start breathing your own breath back in - i.e. carbon dioxide etc.
According to what I've heard about the air quality and toxins on there it'd be best to do so for your own health regardless
Somewhere between that and 200 I'd think.28773
37 deaths
Would 100000 lead to 150 or more?
Let’s see what happens. Happy to trust chief medical officer
This is an interesting thread on removing restrictions
Chris Whitty has it right, in my view (maybe unsurprisingly)I just welcome the freedom to manage the situation myself. Mask on the train and in busy shops? Probably. Sitting in a quiet cafe putting it on to walk in and out and removing it to drink my tea, errr no

Vaccines mean 'no need to wobble' on easing rules
Today Programme
BBC Radio 4
There is no need to "wobble" on plans to ease coronavirus restrictions, says Prof John Bell, suggesting that immunity from vaccinations could be increasing over time.
The regius professor of medicine at Oxford University says he is encouraged by evidence that vaccines are "holding their own" by reducing the likelihood of hospital admission and death to "very small indeed" after both doses.
"That's what the government is counting on and I see no reason to wobble on that," he tells BBC Radio 4's Today programme.
"The second thing is, our immune responses seem to get better over time. After you've had two vaccines, when you pop back up six months later, your immune system has developed the response to the virus to an even more mature state.
"So, I think, not only have we got good immunity but that immunity may well improve over time. As you know, I'm a sort of a glass half-full guy and I'm sort of three-quarters full at the moment."

The sitting in a quiet cafe wearing a mask, or the freedom to manage it yourself?I find that preposterous myself

There's absolutely no chance that 10m people will voluntarily self-isolate over the summer.Data predicts 2m UK summer Covid cases with 10m isolating
Guardian analysis prompts health warnings as Javid says England entering ‘uncharted territory’www.theguardian.com
If the Guardian has its numbers right on isolations, then millions of us will find ourselves in a tougher lockdown after restrictions end then before. The isolation question is going to be one of the stories of the summer.
There's absolutely no chance that 10m people will voluntarily self-isolate over the summer.
It’s not a nappy it’s a muzzleThe media are acting outraged about the fact that people might actually use their own free will about whether to wear a face-nappy or not - god I hate them
Agree. Just move to the testing. Most people will self isolate if positive, a lot of people won’t if just told to self isolate because they’ve been near someone positive (especially if they subsequently tested negative). Get a structure in place to minimise risk and maximise compliance
Ps I’ll go one step further, people will just delete the app (when it’s not needed to get in places) which is far more dangerous

If you kindly ask one of the Doctors or Nurses about the benefits of face masks when you are emptying the bins you might learn something. The media are acting outraged about the fact that people might actually use their own free will about whether to wear a face-nappy or not - god I hate them

It's good manners to wear one in certain circumstances, it's about protecting others not youAt the end of the day,it is just personal choice....end of - if you want to wear a mask that's up to you,but I'm going to choose not to because I have that right

How will you judge the anxiety of a stranger?Despite what some of you may think,I intend to still wear them on public transport & in shops etc if I see that others are anxious - I'm not a complete cretin
I think with masks, as they're to protect others and not yourself
How will you judge the anxiety of a stranger?
I will choose to not wear one for the most part, I won't go around calling them face nappies or that kind of thing though. At the end of the day,it is just personal choice....end of - if you want to wear a mask that's up to you,but I'm going to choose not to because I have that right

So is maskWhat harm does it do calling them that? It's only a word for gods sake
So is mask
OK, that's fair enough. Now... how about toning the language down about face nappies etc. as that probably doesn't help anxiety of passing people, and it seems there's a path to redemption for you yetObviously if on a bus for instance & they're wearing a mask that'd say to me that they're not comfy without one so I'd put one on - I'm on about more in a pub for instance
It turns out your position is actually fairly considerate. Calling them that and spouting off about how you're not going to wear one gives the impression, tbh, of an unhinged mentalist who's determinded to come and breathe in peoples' faces and hug them BECAUSE THEY CAN.What harm does it do calling them that? (FWIW if you're going into a pub and wearing a mask, you'll be struggling to drink a pint - which is where the rules were somewhat paradoxical, as no mask is pretty unavoidable in those circumstances!)
I'll carry on calling them face nappies if that's ok by you because that's how I feel about them.....geeeez
