There wouldn't be enough wank socks to sustain them.Lock all footballers in training camps, like the World Cup but they aren’t allowed out. All games streamed to reduce financial losses. Sorted.
Stick me in COBRA Boris.
I thought there might be some emergency deal to be done regarding broadcast rights which might help some clubs a little.Lock all footballers in training camps, like the World Cup but they aren’t allowed out. All games streamed to reduce financial losses. Sorted.

Well, my dad hasn't washed his hands since 1947, so there's a problem right there.minister on this morning said we are not at that stage yet. So pleased we got a bit of a lead on Saturday. First player infected throws all the nonsense out as seen by the Scottish women’s rugby player
It is surely about good personal hygene and those in high risk groups taking appropriate action much like with flu isn’t it?
Well not entirely no.minister on this morning said we are not at that stage yet. So pleased we got a bit of a lead on Saturday. First player infected throws all the nonsense out as seen by the Scottish women’s rugby player

Ok you’re correct everyone taking personal hygiene seriously but people are currently aware in vulnerable groupsWell not entirely no.
Every interaction made by the (able) among the population increases the risk to that ( compromised) element who will be taking all sensible precautions possible.
There is a fairly significant percentage in the younger age groups with Asthma,Diabetes etc .
I don't remember all this hyperbole for Swine Flu, is it a social media thing?

Coronavirus has about 50 time’s the mortality rate I think.
3.4%? I thought it was the fact that it spreads so easily that was the problem.
That makes it 17,000 times more dangerous then if it really is 3.4%Swine flu was 0.02% apparently.
I think it’s a mix of lethality and contagiousness that’s the issue along with lack of immunity. I am not a Doctor though obvs and just reading the same stuff as everyone else.
Italy is obviously the biggest concern but they have a huge population of cheap Chinese labour so I assume they are suffering a lot more due to this

I was going with 1% as the lower end coronavirus estimates I’d seen. But yeah if it is up at 4% that’s even worse.
I read over the weekend that it will take 12 months to have a vaccine, and then even longer to produce it in the kinds of quantities required.

I had a really shit week at work last week, I'd have taken that & let someone else worry about everything for a couple of weeks while I was in bed.

Everyone has those weeks mate. Write it off and into the next one!I had a really shit week at work last week, I'd have taken that & let someone else worry about everything for a couple of weeks while I was in bed.
Wouldn't the fact it speeds quickly mean more people infected at the same time. Is the problem less to do with how many people are likely to get sick or die and more to do with the ability of the health services to cope with the number of patients?I thought it was the fact that it spreads so easily that was the problem.
Swine flu killed 457 people and cost £1.24 billion, official figures show
I believe in UK the final death toll was 457. Massively lower than even the best case government estimate, although it appears that the global mortality rate was a lot higher than reported.
The main problems with Coronavirus transmission rates appears to be the length of time it can live outside the body, on surfaces for instance, and its ability to transmit before symptoms appear.
Over this weekend I have been astounded by how many people I have talked to and read about who are still very complacent about it, and are not taking any extra precautions. When it finally sinks in with people I think we will see a massive drop in reported cases.
All I know is that I have a streaming cold- not Coronavirus, can't work from home as the phonelines are down, and everyone is looking at me like I have Ebola & not coming within 20 feet of me.
Thank you for proving my point. No one is saying don't take precautions just not to go into a panic about somethingthat probably won't effect you.
But fuck it go bu all the toilet paper you can. I have some alcoholic hand gel you can have for £30.
I'm out
