as that's about the one bit everybody's in agreement with! There may be differences of opinion as to whether SISU are “good” owners
shouldnt have to drop any court cases.
I think the council are shitting it on this JR2, I think they're going to be found out that they sold it to spite SISU and will face a tricky time squirming out of it ! I hope all the individuals involved in that decision are implicated and shafted !

Tend to agree with that. If they didn't have every aspect of the deal checked over and over again to make sure they were safe they have been very stupid. Think the best SISU can hope for is that more details are made public which place CCC in a bad light.I'm not so sure, I think legally they will be found to be ok but then like you say there is the spiteful aspect which isn't illegal so court wise I don't think they will "lose".
Just noticed that Bradford City who have 18000 season ticket holders and are a big one city club ,but importantly do not own their own ground have been taken over by a German consortium for just £6million.
Shows conclusively that the only way SISU are going to get any serious money back from selling us is by owning our own ground. I think Valley Parade is 25000 capacity too , though the new owners have said they are going to go up to 30000 I'm sure I read somewhere recently
I can't be bothered to start another new thread so sorry if it's slightly off topic, but it's relevant to the subject matter about what our future and what SISU may be planning

Most of this 'interview' is Les Reid putting forth his own opinion and reproducing in full a lengthy statement from SISU, there is very little of what Duggins had to say and what there is is not presented coherently. I can only regard Reid as a PR mouthpiece for SISU.

Bradford nearly went bust due to renting their ground. In the end they threaten to break the lease and leave, moving in with the local rugby club if the lease wasn't renegotiated in their favour. The argument used was that if they moved out there would be no other use for the stadium.
All sounds quite familiar.
I think they lease the whole thing so get all revenues 365 days a year which is a big difference to our situation.
I know Mutton is still active, but what is Chris West doing these days?
Chris West, Executive Director of Resources, heads up the team of staff who provide support across the Council. This includes finance, legal services, admin' support, IT and democratic services.

Hasn't the council leader said he won't speak with the club unless all legal action is dropped? So get an element of back tracking from the council leader
So get an element of back tracking from the council leader, perhaps opens the door a little which is promptly nailed shut with pretty much a rant of a statement
“The fans and people of Coventry should question the motives of any elected Council seeking to prevent public review of its past decisions"
and then an appeal of that review, followed by an appeal of the appeal of the review, followed by review 2 waiting in the wings
Hasn't the council leader said he won't speak with the club unless all legal action is dropped?
Should invite the council and ACL to an SCG meeting. Be interesting to see how they answer questions and how Anderson or Fisher respond, when they're in a room with each other rather than firing out comments in the press. Not like the relationship could get much worse!Still wish they would just have a scrap or something or a TV style debate where they can mug each other off without the telegraph / observer.
