I thought he'd said he saw no sense in them continuing the litigation route as all attempt thus far had failed, not that he wouldn't speak with them until they dropped legal action.
“What I will say is that there has to be an end to the legal actions. All judicial reviews have got to go and all costs have got to be paid.
“That will be a pre-requisite for opening up any sort of dialogue.”

Should invite the council and ACL to an SCG meeting. Be interesting to see how they answer questions and how Anderson or Fisher respond, when they're in a room with each other rather than firing out comments in the press. Not like the relationship could get much worse!
It would be interesting to find out who from CCC leaked that email to the Observer. What was their agenda in doing that??
Nah it was this year. Simon said.I do find it surprising that all this was only leaked last week, considering I was told over a year ago now we was in early dialogue with the Butts and believe I even posted it on here at one stage.
I remember being told and laughing about it though now its not so funny.
Correct the Rugby club leaked the news first which is interesting.
I'd say it was Cov Rugby Club wasn't it?
But the email was sent to Cov Rugby....it was sent from the Council wasn't it? That's the way I read it.
Yeah, that's what I mean. Surely it was Cov Rugby who leaked it as they had received it?
I know people say the BPA project and the court cases should not be linked
rugby probably told sisu who told them to leak it
Would be hard not to feel less than inclined to be helpful.

Tut tut. It's a bluff ain't it? Or is it a double bluff? Lost track now. What good would Cov Rugby get out of leaking it though?
Do you think the aim is to make the council seem as if they're trying to be helpful or not seem helpful? I know what I think.....

They are trying to back CCC in to a corner, and are setting up a fall guy for if the project does not work out. This out pouring is designed to garner public support against CCC
Really? To be honest I'm not sure what SISU could possibly do to garner support against CCC. There seems pretty much unconditional support for CCC regardless of what they do against the club. Reminds of the bit in Blackadder:
I remember Mattingburg's most famous case, the case of the bloody knife.
A man was found next to a murdured body, he had the knife in his hand,
thirteen witnesses that seen him stab the victim, when the police
arrived he said, "I'm glad I killed the bastard." Mattingburg not
only got him off, but he got him knighted in the New Year's Honors
list, and the relatives of the victim had to pay to have the blood
washed out of his jacket.
Yeah it is. Just copied and pasted.Love that quote, I thought it was Bob Massingbird not Mattinburg.
Sorry Torch thought I made it clear not support for SISU but support for the BPA projectReally? To be honest I'm not sure what SISU could possibly do to garner support against CCC. You know, I wonder where we would be right now if that infamous "shook hands" deal with TF hadn't been poo-poo'd by Joy.
FWIW (not much!) I can't help but feel that actually,. those directly at the club are fairly sane. There's enough to suggest that just whenever they get to a position of maybe moving things along, the powerbroker steps in with some brutalising...
I get the similar feeling to that . So in reality it isn't CA we should be listening to or questioning because he simply does have the power to complete the deals
Absolutely brilliant series.
General Sir Anthony Cecil Hogmanay Melchett....remind you off anyone else? Court case?!
