Now I'm on my phone, so can't retype the article, but on the back of CET, apparently we're opening talks with McGoldrick.

Yet on the front of the paper, we have a huge headline about the whole ACL situation.

Does this prove SISU will pay up, or just needless over sensationalism?

It means we haven't got the money but we have got the money.

Same as we can't pay the rent but we can buy half the stadium.

Yeah, who knows!

As I say, we can't pay the rent but can apparently buy half the stadium.

Go figure.

Perhaps we are in talks to play in his large garden?

Also, we are talking about the CET here and we had done a deal for half the stadium weeks ago according to them so I only believe what they say if its a match result (and then I'm doubtful).

Just pointing out as much as I hate SISU:

Buying into the stadium is an investment. Paying that much rent. Thats SISUs feeling. Basically meaning yes if they moved money around we enough money. But SISU are here to make money, and buying half the stadium is a way to do that.

As to McG: we can open discussions yes. Surely we can free up some wage budget when Robins gets rid of some out of favour players in Jan? Maybe a pipedream there though.

Surely we haven't paid the rent because its extortionate and we have no match day income? Thus trying to force ACL into letting us buy the Alan Higgs half the ground, thus at least halving the rent and giving us some match day revenue?! It's not rocket science. One of two things will happen here. We will either end up eithet buying at least half the ground or the rent will be agreed at a much lower level. I think Sisu know exactly what they are doing. It's ACL that are panicking not CCFC, and I don't think the supporters should either.

Same as fans moan at SISU to pay the rent then moan that we don't have the financial clout to buy McGOldrick. Can't have it both ways which is why the rent needs to come down or we will go under anyway. Maybe fans could support ACL then?

Blinded by Sisu hatred but most people don't even know why they hate Sisu! Maybe it's just because everyone else does. Oh sorry I forgot there was a trillionaire Arab about to buy the club!

They dont oay the rent because its extortionate, and because its wasted money. Its like renting a house and not owning it - lost money.

As for out of favour players being worth nothing - so what? Reduce that wage bill and free up some cash.

How can we even think of buying a high quality player when we are millions in debt. Yes, i want oldie to stay, but whats more important? 1 player or the future of our football club

I am just in talks with the Ferrari garage about a new car, I am going to offer them 50p for a brand new Ferrari and wonder why they turn me down.

This is just spin to show the club in a more positive light. What would be really good is if they STFU and announced that they have signed a pre agreement with both MCG and Forest for the transfur. This is just nothing news.

But as I have said several times lately, nowt to stop the club paying only the amount they believe to be a fair reflection.

To pay nothing just borders on stupidity.

If they believe it to be say £200,000 and not a million, then they pay £200,000.

There would be a lot more people on their side if they did that. To pay nothing at all and incur the wrath of their landlord and gamble with the club's future is just crazy.

now with everything else going on, statutory demands, no ground, winding up orders and the like what would the fans love to hear on a Thursday what would keep them on side :thinking about::whistle:

While that may be true, chipfat what would they do with the Arena? The green bit in the middle? Concerts while very successful only happen every now and then.

Thats all they need now and then big concerts, as for the green bit renting to another sporting club is very much still an option and one ACL will be looking at incase CCFC dont stump up the rent...

Yep, I'm sure sphinx would be willing to pay £10 per match to play on it.

We might have to pay sphinx to play at there place... Didnt mean sphinx but try a top rugby team in the country you may get closer!!!!

If you were McGoldrick would you trust SISU to pay your wages as agreed, because they seem to think they don't have to when it comes to the contract for rent..........

It seems a bit cioncidental that the day after the shit hits the fan with regards to the rent, SISU then come out and say they are opening talks with DM, i think its a ploy to get the fans on their side so's not to too much shit at the up and coming game on saturday!!! just a thought!!!
