Fairly cryptic tweet from their owner a couple of weeks back.... although it turns out he has not actually brought the ladies section of the club.....
Mentioned how things were uncertain until after the season ended....
Goy a sneaky feeling that they could be affiliated with CCFC next season.... although I could be wrong and not sure how a change would work.... could have been the other way round, with less rules around change if relegated... I'll try and find the tweet....
Their run to stay up after having points deducted has been excellent!!!
Women's Championship club Coventry United are going to move to a part-time set-up for the coming season as the club is facing further financial concerns.
what wages would the girls be on
I know of a Leicester ladies player on 35-40k - and they are in the super league
Cov Women at full time must be in the region of 20k - so by allowing them part time status may actually have advantages
Presume other clubs are losing money but being propped up by a parent club or benefactor. Would be nice for them to be part of CCFC but if its a drain on limited resources that's not going to be a popular move.
