Sisu conspiracy to blunt the protest!
Look like another mad dash to Te Emirates after work then!
For those that don't want to drive, London > Coventry train ticket is still £7.50 for 2230 and last train at 23:30. Takes 1hr 40mins... I expect it will fill up pretty quickly.
Trains into London vary with price but you can get a London Midland train for a very reasonable amount...I will be working in London in the day so I am not bothered about getting into London as much...

Have emailed them complaining and asking for their reason.
If everyone sent them an email asking for their reason they may reconsider. Why cant they swap it for the Sat evening game (Stevenage vs Everton)?
The protest could be more effective, especially if anyone is in office on a Friday afternoon.
At least the Emirates isn't far from the bottom end of the M1, much more accessible than Wimbledon.Horrible night to go down to London. Remember too well the four hours it took to get to Wimbledon and, by all accounts, we were quicker than most!! Groaned when I heard the draw but at least thought we'd see the Emirates by daylight this time. Aaargh!!!
It's obvious that both clubs wanted the Friday game to maximise rest for the following games. Cov play Orient on Tuesday, Arsenal play Southampton on Tuesday.
Everton have got the Merseyside Derby on the Tuesday. I really don't think the clubs had the final decision.

What has Everton V Liverpool got to do with this... i'm confused

They are not going to cancel the game if a few people email. Get real.
What I'm trying to say is other clubs have also got to prepare for the games midweek.
I mentioned Everton because they play the BT sport tie on the Sat evening. That's why I was wondering why that game is on the Sat and ours is on the Friday. Surely if BT sport swapped it everyone would be happy. Stevenage would sell out whatever day and time they play against Everton.
Apologies if I didnt say it in my original post

ha ha best post ever.. are you deluded..i hope your email was strongly worded
I asked for their reason as to why they picked the game for that time.
It is a long shot but its better than moaning on here about it.

I've emailed them to see if they can do a re-draw because top of premier league vs mid-table league 1 seems a tad unfair.Barely.
I've sent a counter email as I want it to be on Friday.

Over the moon. My NOPM is still going strong and I get to see the game #chuffed.
Chill lads, not the end of the world being on a Friday.
When we went Old Trafford few years ago for league cup that was a night game.
thanks Brian. Disappointed I didn't get a LOL though.Good luck with that one!
