Southampton last night being a prime example. There was a definite pragmatism in our play. We still managed to cock things up in our own half on a regular basis but when we needed to we just put laces through it. I don’t mind it one bit. The biggest myth in the game at the minute is this playing out from the back rubbish. Huge amounts of goals are conceded via this each week and it gives me the screaming shits.
After his mistakes tonight he didn't sulk he owned them and put his hand up . I noticed all game he was in Bobby's ear and moving him about .Yet we've got 3 clean sheets this season and he's played in all of them
Very nice to see us punish their AAATB for Wright’s goal. When you press as a cohesive unit, you get opportunities like that. There was a definite pragmatism in our play. There partnership tonight was superb , Eccles clearly knows Sheaf is way off being fully match fit and covered behind him admirably all gameGreat to see us play on the front foot. We have such good attacking players and by pressing high and winning the ball high up the pitch we give them the chance to shine. Tonight proved we do have the personnel to do it. Energy and aggression we have barely seen all season, it was great to see.
Sheaf is such a steadying influence, brings out the best n Eccles too who was immense tonight.
Said it before but if he was called Jan Ekkles and we’d signed him for £3m from FC Twente people would drool over him.
Good to hear. Feared the worse after seeing a photo of the hole in his leg.MR says Tats injury isn't too bad!
What does he know ffs!MR says Tats injury isn't too bad!

That was a scary couple of hours! It's a cut
Calm down you fucking drama queen's
A bad cut yes, gash his leg clean open
But he'll be back after the international break stop shitting yourselves
Was noticeable when Sakamoto was injured that Robins called Wilson overwasn't sure about wilson getting the nod tonight, but he was really vocal, and helped keep things organised at the back.
we need that atm.
Hopefully you're eating humble pie after a cleansheet later
(Looking forward to you all quoting g lme back if he doesn't, but silence if he does as it will be down to the defence)
Does last season's form not count anymore ?Well well well, doesn’t that feel better, hardly any tippy tappy nonsense at the back. Some great performances and no one had a bad game. Clean sheet for Ben and morale has once again been lifted now that 1 in 13 monkey has been lifted off the proverbial back
He was absolutely class tonight . There will still be some absolute whoppers on here that can't or won't see it but he is developing very quickly into one of the best in the division in his position
Definite intentional stamp on Saka. He raises his leg before bringing it down on Saka’s knee. Kitching laid one on him 5 mins later. That told me the players knew it was intentional
If he had the final ball with his current skillset it wouldn't be Sheaf we were worried about selling .like I said earlier, he needs to add the final ball to his game, then he’ll be up there..too many times tonight he rushed it and passed up an opportunity / gave the ball back to them, or at one point took it on when he should’ve passed to EMC outside him, although I quite like that he was confident enough to have a pop…
very very good game from him otherwise though
It’s a shame it was needed but that kind of attitude has been sorely missed in the squadI thought that too, Kitching hacked at him and had no intention of going for the ball.
He is adding more to his game, his range of passing is getting better and better. He was absolutely class tonight . There will still be some absolute whoppers on here that can't or won't see it but he is developing very quickly into one of the best in the division in his position
Waking up this morning something feels different. Don't know if anyone else feels the same.
Don't have the sense of dread that I've had for most matches recently. I'm strangely looking forward to the game.
Under the lights we often turn it on. I'm expecting a good performance tonight despite all the evidence that points to the contrary.
Robins has to keep Kitching in the side . I played 20 years of Sunday league and managed for another 10 , every team needs a Kitching . And the players around him respond to that bit of niggle and needle and someone who gives it backIt’s a shame it was needed but that kind of attitude has been sorely missed in the squad
What an utterly dreadful post .Very nice win but they are in a false position they are a bottom five team not a top five. Hope that we learn from Dolans mistake.
Wilson had little to do.
Happy tonight as I thought I would be and as I said earlier I could only see a win.
It was just a figure others were getting hung up onDoes last season's form not count anymore ?
Thought he winced when the magic sponge was applied
Agree but it could've been oh so different if that first minute chance is taken. Nice rub of the green for a change and we deserved it, but with fragile confidence that win was bigger than the three points and a clean sheet too should give everyone a lift.Best thing about the win; every thread on here won’t descend into the over dramatic, the world is ending, overly negative nonsense, we’ve had to put up with recently.
At least until Saturday.
