It's always sounds a bit dramatic to say it's a must win game in October, but it almost has that feel about it.
I fear it'll be a poor turn out tonight - actual turn out rather than published - usual dip for night games, general mood, televised, shit weather, road closures - lots of reasons people with give for giving it a swerve. Got to back them tonight though, a positive result could be pivotal.
We need some positive energy from the crowd tonight. For all the talk about injuries this is the first game of the season we could potentially field our 'first choice' starting 11 with decent options on the bench. Blackburn have started well but I don't really covet any of their players. Worm's gunna turn! 3-0!!Think it's going to be a good atmosphere tonight, always is at night with smaller crowds.
Dasilva whenever he was fed the ball just turned and passed it back
Waking up this morning something feels different. Don't know if anyone else feels the same.
Don't have the sense of dread that I've had for most matches recently. I'm strangely looking forward to the game.
Under the lights we often turn it on. I'm expecting a good performance tonight despite all the evidence that points to the contrary.
So the system needs to change imo. Not suiting players and attacking wise carrying no threat.
Both of these games are good times to change. Both decent teams but feel we can expect more freedom at home.
So on that note, I’d try a 5-3-2. I know people who groan but let’s try and keep the ball around and build triangles throughout the pitch with our Cbs acting as an additional option. High press the other teams to try and suffocate them. Would ban long balls so no one just gives the ball away lol. Let’s try and go back to our league one days in our clever possession pass and move after all if teams don’t have the ball we don’t concede
Dolvin
Binks - Kitching - Thomas
Dasilva - Sheaf - Milan/Sakamoto
Eccles - Rudoni
BTA - Simms
Less options for a defender to play back?Only Bobby Thomas played more passes into the final third than Dasilva.
Only Thomas and Kitching made more progressive passes
Bell in goal for Sheffieldanother new keeper
Someone leak the team them
Amazed so many have Bidwell in TBH. I think he’s been dreadful this season and Dasilva has performed well whenever he’s come on. I think both fullbacks need a flatter midfield for protection, but especially the left with Wright ahead of them.
I was pretty critical of DaSilva last season, but he's looked good so far in my opinion.Has DaSilva really been that great?
I think the lovein for him is more because people dislike Bidwell.

Think so initially!A lot of shouts for Wright to play upfront. Has he ever played well there for us?

Not many times and with no success. He doesn't have great attributes to play the sole striker. Poor at holding the ball up and poor movement. Unfortunately, that summary also describes Simms currently.

Thomas-Asante was an absolute disaster on the right against Swansea. Thought Sakamoto was good in the only game we’ve won and has a good partnership with MvE.Does Saka deserve to start? You could make the argument he's been our worst attacker this season.
