McDonald
Gillespie
Peake
Hunt
Mcallister
Hadji
Hutchison
Regis
Wallace
Picked a team rather than top 10
Forgot about Pearce but not having oggy over blythBroadly agree.
I'd swap Blyth for Oggy
McDonald for Pearce
Not so old chap. Gerry Francisthe only England captain we've ever had? Terry Butcher?
Sorry. A couple of those were tongue in cheek! Some random honourable mentions.

stuart pearce, jordan hendersonNot so old chap. Gerry Francis
Hagerty F., Hagerty R., Tomkins, Noble, Carrick, Dobson, Crapper, Dewhurst, MacIntyre, Treadmore, DavittGlazier, Pearce, Nilsson, Curtis, Peake, Bennett, Mortimer, McAllister, Hutchison, Dublin, Keane
No Cyrille and no Roland. You've some decent players in there, but you've missed out the best two I have watched in my lifetime. My latest episode.
Again, imonly going for players I’ve seen play live. So 1987-2021.
I think this task is always a challenge as people will always wonder how certain players are left out!
Please watch if you have a spare 15 minutes. Then at least you can see my reasoning as to why Keane is 3, even though he was only with us for one season, and to how the hell Cyrille and McAllister aren’t in there! And Jenkinson’s Rumbleows Sprint challenge gets a mention!
Here is my list:
10 - Oggy
9 - Gynn
8 - Doyle
7 - Gallagher
6 - Dion
5 - Whelan
4 - Hucks
3 - Robbie
2 - Nuddy
1 - Speedo
Gerry Francis was another England International that was top quality for us.the only England captain we've ever had? Terry Butcher?
Got to add, Kieran Westwood and Kasper Schmeichel. Two of the best goalkeepers we’ve had the pleasure to watch
Not having Kasper anywhere near Covs best XI!
He may have had an unbelivable career but the guy played 9 games for us as a kid, He really didnt pull up any trees whilst here, I mean his last match we got humpped 4-1 by Charlton
All I remember of him was having a monster throw, don’t recall being blown away generally.

strange factI'm suprised Steve Hunt hasn't appeared more often on here, and Terry Yorath,
(Although I'm going back a while)
But there's also Ian Wallace, Terry Gibson,
Stuart Robson, Jim Holton to name just a few.
Fair point Alk given his career. But always going to be Blyth for me as our best keeper- probably a generational thing. Man Utd offered a world record fee for a goalie to buy Blyth before the move was scuppered by an injury. Was a skinny kid when he played for us. Wasnt bad at all and could see promise but not really outstanding
If the question was who are the greatest players to have ever played for Cov then he'd be a shoe in I recon

Kasper pulling off that save against wolves to keep it 2-1 kept us up that season
Westwood saved the pen the year after, nearly identical circumstances. Eubanks-Blake had a last minute header against SchmeichelAre you sure you're not blurring 2 separate events & thinking of the Westwood last minute penalty save the following year?
We drew 1-1 with Wolves in 2008, we dominated the game & should have won. Kasper made 1 decent save early in the 2nd half but we missed a hatful of chances to secure our survival.
Kasper was then utterly abysmal in the away game at Charlton, almost single handedly gifting them the win & but for Carlo Nash in Stoke's goal keeping Leicester at bay we would have been relegated.
