Did you read the article? Robins says he’s looking at a new position for him as he has good qualities which would be better utilised elsewhere on the pitch
Is Camwell set to be the next Giddings/Haynes? Left back who's better going forward than at defending - felt both of those should've been tried as left wingers a la Bale. Giddings was really unfortunate with injury and Haynes wasn't the greatest crosser but I think could've been taught with training. Camwell has good delivery and is a set piece specialist so I think he's got more of a chance though as long as he knuckles down - he's definitely got something about him from the times I've seen him in the youth set-up.
It does seem odd though that if MR thinks his deficiencies are defending he's been utilised as a CB at U23 in a back three - a formation we don't tend to play. He's even been played there ahead of Ford, who's main position is CB (unless he's been injured of course). Why not stick with the first team formation with McCallum at LB and him and Walters fighting for the LM position? Walters seems more of a 'home' player and Camwell more 'away' because he's got more defensive qualities.

Robins has probably been playing him as the left side of a back 3 in order to improve his defensive game. However, it is looking more like he will push him forward as LM. Always thought he is best suited as a wing back.
