Don't agree with you on the other two players either. I think it's a shame to call anyone else "garbage". Jury is surely still out on Kastaneer as he hasn't had an extended run to prove himself. At the moment he is adding very little to the team but I still hope that that will change. Bakayoko shows glimpses of quality but doesn't produce this often enough to give any hope that he will be "the answer". I think he cares, I think he tries hard and therefore doesn't deserve the garbage label. Will he be here next season? Not unless there is a big improvement in the next few months.
Just so everyone gets the joke Danny Thomas 1981 is my dad!Just to add some balance cc84 I posted this yesterday on Baka:
'Right now Baka is our top goalscorer with 4 goals with an average strike rate of 168 minutes (I admittedly had to look that up!). Godden by comparison has 4 goals at 249 minutes per goal. That comparison is a little unfair perhaps on Godden as he's mainly played upfront on his own but he's also missed a number of great chances.
Should Baka have scored more? Yes. But equally Godden should have more as well. I don't see anything like the level of abuse aimed at Godden after we have underperformed and he has missed chances. What I would also say is that at least 2 of Baka's goals have been outstanding in terms of technique - and in particular the goal against Doncaster was different class and rescued us. So my own view is that he should get far more credit vs. some of the abusive comments I have seen on here. The new partnership with Max has looked decent to me.
It's a team game ultimately - my view is that we should stick by the lads who wear the shirt and also trust in Robins to evolve the team as required - he's pretty good at it. It's simply not helpful to abuse individual players when results haven't gone our way. Balanced criticism is of course justified but what 54321 has written (about Baka) is frankly a disgrace. I fully realise that's not a fashionable view.'

You can all argue as much as you lije, but I was there again tonight and I'm sure yiu can appreciate the different perspective you get live. Max tonight was unplayable. Of course the standard of the opposition has to be taken account of, but his movement off the ball, winning his own flick ons, so much more tgan just the goals. If we can keep him fit, I'm certain he'll be a big player for us in the second half of the season. I think Hiwula or Godden will play well off him too.
Biamou had also been completely written off at this stage in his first season.Sat here baffled as to who & why we give Kastanner a 3 YEAR CONTRACT !!!
Who makes these ludicrous decisions
How did drysdale do last night?
How come Max’s suspended for 3 games - I thought the law change meant it was only a 1 game suspension?
Was he sent off for violent conduct?
Cheers. Fuck sake! Looks like he’s learnt to finish all of a suddenYeah straight red for an elbow rather than a red for taking down the last man etc.
I knew it was a red but surely if his eyes are on the ball it needs a second look ? The ball is in the air to be won 3 match ban is a little harsh for me,I would say the same if their player committed the same foul on our player.I don't think we'd stand a chance in an appeal. He led with an elbow. It was dangerous. Myself and everyone around me knew it was a red the moment he did it.
Was he that bad mate?Hopefully Marosi stays fit this Wilson chap seems worse than Burge on a bad day
he made 1 very bad mistakeWas he that bad mate?
Was he that bad mate?
Routine save went straight through his arms & under him in the net lolWas he that bad mate?
It’s blindingly obvious isn’t it?I just don't understand the need for comments like this. Biamou scored a hat trick for our team tonight. Two of the goals are excellent strikes. Our team won. In less than two and a half league games he has played well, got two assists and scored an absolute screamer. But you and others like you can't seem to give him any credit or take pleasure in the fact that one of our players is doing well. It seems that you would rather that your negative narrative is proved correct and that the player and the team struggle rather than accept that even temporally you may have been wrong about the player and enjoy that relative success. It is a rarity for one of our players to score a hat trick but you greet it with a sneery comment. Shame!

You've side stepped the issue. Max may go on to prove he is a failure at this level. In the context of last night and the preceding 3 league games your comments above are irrelevant. Max scored a hat trick last night and won the game for our team. A reason for any City fan to be pleased and to celebrate. In the previous 3 league games, one of which he came on as a half time sub, he played well, made two goals and scored an absolute belter. Reasons again for all City fans to celebrate and be pleased. You don't like Biamou so choose to make a sneery comment. It's almost as though you would want him and the team to fail just so you could say I told you so.It’s blindingly obvious isn’t it?
If not, just go and check out Biamou’s strike rate at league level, vs his strike rate against u23 teams.
Then compare his league stats to those of Kevin Kyle (for example) who played at a higher level than Max, but was generally considered a very poor striker.
Last night Clive (I know, bear with me) said that Fadz’s yellow card ban wasn’t effective last night or on Saturday as this season bans relate only to the competition they are incurred in. If (again bear with me) Clive is right abt that, then surely Biamou is also eligible for the FA Cup on Saturday and will serve a ban for 3 league games. Personally I hope he was incorrect as I’d rather we had more options for the third league game.

375 in attendance. Hats off to them people who went and to the 7 Southampton fans!:emoji_thumbsup:
Southampton should refund those 7 fans costs. True fans (unless they’re U23 players families)
Would have thought they would be families.
