Barnsley boss Mark Robins felt his side were not helped by their late arrival at the Ricoh Arena and their ability to not be able to deal with Coventry City's physical approach.
Speaking to the Press Association after his team's 3-0 defeat, Robins said: "The preparation wasn't ideal because the team didn't get here until gone 2pm - around 2.30pm. That for a start wasn't ideal but we are not going to hide behind it.
"There was an accident on the M1 and we certainly hope everyone was okay. I came here separately so could get the team-sheet in by 2pm.
"Coventry are probably the biggest and most physical side in the division and the whole build-up to the game was about dealing with that.
"We didn't win tackles but it came to life a bit in the second half when we made changes.
"It's difficult trying to find positives when you have been beaten 3-0 for the second time in a week.
"It's back to the drawing board away from home. You've got to come to places like this and be stronger and not be bullied. I think we've been bullied in every department.
"It's not something that I am used to. We try to play our way out of football and that isn't going to change.
"But certainly in terms of our strength of mind and body, we looked short compared to them all over the pitch. "We just didn't handle the physicality of Coventry."
Well I for one love our new look side, this is the 2nd time in one week teams have said we have been too physical for them I love the way we can bully other teams all over the pitch and yet we still have a bit of flair about us as well to add to that. A few years ago we used to have a team that would always getting bullied home and away so it's nice that we are getting a bit of recognition and a reputation and Aidy has kept his promise by trying to build this reputation of teams not enjoying their visit to the Ricoh Arena as they probably have done since it opened in 05. Just need some more fans now to make it even more intimidating
Get up to the Ricoh next home game against Leeds as they will be bringing a few thousand I imagine.
Play Up Sky Blues!
