I'll start:

The Wheatsheaf, Foleshill Road.

4/10 - It can be a pain in the arse to get served. They did have a Red Stripe tap briefly but have now fucked it off. The music on the Jukebox is shite. There are quite a few bellends who drink in there, but some decent fellas in amongst them.

The Cherry Tree Club

3/10 - The beer they serve on tap is shite, no Stella or any decent lager. They insist on incessantly repeating that Enemy CD.

Yates 0/10

Asked the DJ to play 'Hey Baby' and she said they didn't stock it in a Spar

The Courtyard 0/10

What the hell has happened to it?

The Brewer and Baker 9/10

Popular gastro-pub in the leafy suburb of Hillfields. Cheerful and friendly atmosphere. Often frequented by very friendly ladies with minor drug problems.

The Cottage - Earlsdon

Used to be a Sunday afternoon family boozer. Bit of dinner, kids on the bouncy castle etc. Now it's Oi Oi geezer and birds with their tits hanging out and tiny dresses. I love it.

£3.50 a pint (taste like abattoir drainage) and touching £5 for a spirit and mixer.

2/10 week days
8/10 weekend.

Tbf the food is nice in there and a decent beer selection. I didn't try the SISU out line at last week's meeting with Tim Fisher and the architects of the new stadium, luckily they accept the Tastecard anyway. Can't be wasting the playing budget on meals out.

My first memory of City games is the Brewer. Used to live just off Vauxhall street. Not been there for years.

Not eaten in there yet but its a nice place to go before they turn the music up and it gets busy (getting old)

The Litten Tree 7/10

I haven't been in since the halycon days of 2001/2002 when 5 fights a night were not unheard of. The beer was shite but the atmosphere was hostile.

These days it looks far more civilised with its attempt to embrace cafe culture by offering a bacon batch and a pint from 8am daily.

The Coventry Cross. Brilliant riverside pub, full or charm and character. Craft beers. Bar snacks and close to other entertainment hubs like Club Release. 11/10!

I used to love the Vauxhall tavern in the 80's,Used to get a good bunch of lads in there,And quite interesting when the old bill used to escort the away fans back into town around 5.30 after !!!

Talking to someone I know whose son had had his head stamped on by a 'girl' wearing stilletoes in that pub a few years back He had fluid leaking from his brain. Not sure what happened, but it sure looks a classy place from outside (not!)

Anybody here remember the old Vauxhall Tavern near there. Remember an old mate from Leamington drop kicking a Villa fan (deserved it) before a game in there back in the late seventies. (You know who you are CG!) Happy days

I used to use the Live & Let Live until it closed down, then I used the White Horse in Broad Park Road. Great pubs! As for recent pubs, I rather like the Rainbows. I stumbled in there one day when I was pissed. Really friendly bunch of lads! (Not much in the way of women though! Strange... :thinking about:)

It's not a pub but to those poor souls on the hill I heartely recommend the all you can eat oriental buffet next to McDonald's. really worth it after 90 minutes protest.

The ones I've left in the quote definitely are, not sure about the others. The Holyhead's had a makeover or three, City Arms is a Wetherspoons and I can only assume the Cottage would be unrecognisable now from when you were there.

Did they ever catch anyone for burning down the Cheylesmore?

i recon shitsu must have had something to do with it. timmy's alibi is solid he was in marks and spencers shopping for v neck jumpers but joy's whereabouts at the time was unknown, nothing new there then.

The Old Ball Hotel, dad used to leave me out side before game when I was 7.

AKA the old bags ball. We went there quite often when all day opening first started. We would get rat arsed each time then get barred. Always let in the next week though. If allowed to stay we would go once the old bags started coming in. The Jube was my watering hole though. Lads would drag me out to go to old bags ball.

6/10 for old bags ball. Beer not brilliant, but nearly always had pub to ourselves.
On a good day 10/10 for Jube. 1/10 on raid days. 2/10 on days when idiots turned up.
