I think we need to drop the whistle thing guys.
I don't think it affected the game. I sit on halfway and didn't hear it.
There is no way to legislate for people bringing whistles. You can't do full body searches outside the ground. Far too many people had whistles to target them individually.

Why would they?I am totally against the whistles but nothing has come from the manager or players. Surely if it cost us a goal when leading they should mention it.
I didn't hear it. I didn't see players stop either. But plenty of different fans who heard it and saw it in different places?
At times like this I regret creating you.Whistles are here to get rid of the fuckers called shitsu so let it ruin the game get us relegated and hope they fuck off but doubt it
Burge annoyed me. Reid was sprinting down the wing and Burge had the ball in his hands and wouldn't kick it down field.Beavon and Clarke very impressive. Made a huge difference. The former took his goal superbly, finding space and finding the bottom corner. Also good cross to find Reid in the lead up to Tudgays goal.
Also nice to see us not trying to pass it out from our area. Just wish Burge could work on his distribution! Holds it far too long even at 0-0 so can't always be trying to time waste, but then again when he does do it quick or even after a small delay in play, how many of them actually stay in play?
Thomas ran his socks off again and deserved a goal. Just a shame the one he got was flagged offside
I heard them followed by their goal
Asked who you were on SBT - answer "Let's All Sing Together". Have it your way mate.Went by Car.
First time in three years you gave him credit for anything.
Well done to you.
You have to have a good feeling about Bevan and it's good to see Haynes hasn't let it affect him.
He did the same last time he played a stupid back pass. Then he won the game for us
Just that it was at the exact time that 2 players stopped in their tracks completelyNot for a moment defending the use of whistles in the manner used. But I actually made an effort to go the match and I can tell you that you and the other one or two peeps moaning about this on the radio are absolutely, 100% wrong. Lamerias was caught out by a miss-hit by Bolton's 22, and which was meant to go to the midfield flank but instead went square outside the box, completely bypassing Lamerias and catching him out. Thereafter, 3 City players were wedded to the spot when the ball landed to the Bolton scorer.
I get that some people aren't happy with the protest against Sheffield and that carrying the whistles over in the manner in which they were used today is pointless and a bit stupid. But the protesters are not to blame for the goal. No need to do Fisher's work here. please.

The whistles did have an effect and they weren't being blown as a form of protest. Not for a moment defending the use of whistles in the manner used. No one with a brain would be calling him a legend as they would realise that whistle could have just as easily resulted in a mistake from one of our own players.Without wanting to get the fork and torch brigade after me. Had their player heard the whistle and then ballooned the cross out for a throw, wouldn't everyone be saying 'legend' etc to the guy that blew the whistle?
Yeah, seemingly the timing was wrong on this occasion, but we have conceded twice in stoppage time in 2 days, and that's probably the real issue that needs addressing.
The people criticising the whistle antics were also there. But I actually made an effort to go the match and I can tell you that you and the other one or two peeps moaning about this on the radio are absolutely, 100% wrong.

We're not talking about the three players in the box who were trying to block the shot.I'm sorry, did you see any of those players look up for a whistle? I saw 3 players all looking down at a ball, each hesitating for fear of either giving a pen away or being turned. And not for a second did Clayton hold back either. Sorry, whistles had nothing to do with the goal, and not one person around me in the stand mentioned otherwise. Again, I'm not defending the use of the whistles in the manner used.

You are wrong on both counts here

a reason or set of reasons given in support of an idea, action or theory.

When the miscued cross was played in from the right, our player was running towards the ball to intercept it and stopped when he heard a whistle from the crowd.
Your argument is so poor that it doesn't really need the reasons to be explained to people of average intelligence.argument - ˈɑːɡjʊm(ə)nt/ -

WrongNo, that's revisionist. Lamerias had expected the ball to go back up field, got caught out by the miss-hit square ball, and found himself 5 yards away from the player, who then played it into the box. Lamerias knew it was a lost cause.
Don't be an idiot - blowing whistles while the team is defending is fucking idiotic as is singing sisu out the minute we score.
It was Reilly who initially went for it, heard the whistle and stopped. Lamieres had started to make thr forward run as he thought Reilly was interceptong the ball. Their player then gets it, and the rest as they say is history. No, that's revisionist. Can you explain it to me then.Your argument is so poor that it doesn't really need the reasons to be explained to people of average intelligence.
Because it if is actually affecting results potentially their jobs...that is why. That is being honest and doesn't alienate the fans at all.Why would they?
They don't want to be seen to be making excuses and alienating the fans.
So you think it would go down well and encourage support from the crowd in the future if they came out and said it was the fans fault. Interviews are rarely honest, they say what they think people want to hear and not actually what they think.Because it if is actually affecting results potentially their jobs...that is why. That is being honest and doesn't alienate the fans at all.
