Ha, it's over a month away - it's tonnes of time!
How about we just get up on the hill and sing as loud as F____k for the full 90 minutes. Could we, in numbers, keep it up for a full 90 minutes? It wouldn't take too much organising and we'd be heard all the way through the game. We could get there en mass, if KCiC/Trust could organise the ad/awareness.
Could you do the 90 minute challenge?

The other problem is if sisu think we will be protesting inside, the can use the "right to refuse entry" clause and stop it from happeningI understand what you're saying, but it involves giving SISU cash, and some supporters will think "screw it, I've been into Sixfields now, so I'll go again".

I like the suggestions raised here but I think a bit of common sense is needed. The league is now sponsored by SKYbet a sister organisation of SKY sports. Do you think for one minute that they will even bat an eyelid at a protest on the hill which will show something they are sponsoring in a bad light? I think not.
However I like the hill idea and if thats how people want to protest im all for it. My personal opinion is imagine we fill the ground to protest and still have 3 thousand people on the hill. thats 10,000 (last seasons average) and very possible. Huge amount of £ for CCFC to police the fixture inside the stadium and out. It would make Fisher look like a clown. Also I have been told that at sixfields Fisher is literally sat meters from fans and various fans do walk up to him he would be shit scared seeing 7,000 fans within 100 meters from him and another 3000 outside. That is how we should protest and I hope common sense prevails here
Someone tell me i'm wrong but all the fans on this thread claiming that the best protest would be to fill the ground are either hypocrites , cowards or both !!!!
Maybe a mass protest outside will make the few inside question their reasons for going in, maybe make them feel ashamed embarrassed ?
My question for the supporters of a mass protest within the ground. Whilst you have been attending coventry matches at sixfields what protesting have you done ?
Or are you relying on others ?
Oh do fuck off...listen to
yourself...."cowards, hypocrites"...I'll do as you requested and tell you you're wrong.
...If you'd read the thread (and previous ones regarding this game) you'd be quite clear that most that support ideas about protesting within the stadium are supporting it as a ONE OFF due to it being on telly.....
...I've not been to sixfields & would only go if it was part of a concerted effort by a united group of supporters to protest on a large scale.....
...the NOPM thing could be suspended for 1 game the greater good......but the more I read these threads, I get the sense the battle is already lost....Never mind eh.
No...I'm saying that I personally believe filling the ground for a live TV game would be a more effective protest (assuming we did actually protest in some way.....such as the mass exodus, turning our backs, 5000 sisu out T-shirts etc.)
....however, if the majority (lead by the SBT etc.) believe our cause is best served by a large scale protest outside & not to enter the ground, then I'll bow to that popular opinion & join that outside protest.....no problem.
Everyone saying about the Sheff game...
Start at Gillingham, get on the hill then!
The problem I have with protesting inside the ground is that:
- it gives money to SISU
- many of the people currently attending claim to be protesting inside, but their efforts are poor to non-existent
- a percentage would return to Sixfields if they enjoy a City victory
- it gives a very confused message to the football world - to whom we've been declaring we won't attend Sixfields
1. Yes...it gives money to Sisu for 1 game.....a price worth paying if its for the greater good......they're getting money anyway from Sky...
2. Yes...a handful claim to be protesting...most are just supporting the young team..but IF we got ORGANISED and got 5000+ in there....and had a coherent protest plan....then it would be a far more powerful protest as the cameras cannot avoid 3 sides of the ground.
3. would they? Those that attended the one-off protest would only be there due to the protest.
4. the message of a few blokes on a hill in the distance watching for nothing and 1500 inside the ground as it currently is just gives the message that apathy rules, we've given up.
We are going round in circles here Rich87.....I guess we'll have to agree to disagree...
I will state again though, we need leadership to unite the fans for this event....its our LAST CHANCE to make a big noise in front of a national audience.....
...but the silence from the SBT, kcic & nopm factions regarding this fixture is currently deafening....
If you fill the ground for the protest people will come back with the football we're playing.
*que weak minded scabs comments*
We have been inside the ground before protesting and what did that get us?... A move from Coventry to Northampton! If we are going to protest it has to be on the hill.
Yeah...to be fair though...those protests were small scale & a bit shit....
...I was hoping we could get a little more organised & a lot more numbers for a protest live on Sky TV....
....but I'm starting to fear the worst.....a couple hundred on the hill....about 1500 in the ground.....and the rest of the country watching on sky thinking we don't really give a fuck.
Be amazed if the hill is fenced off - only hapenned once that I can recall - against Man utd in a cup game. If sisu fenced it off, then this give the impressoin that mass protest is on the cards, or at least that protests have been an issue at previous games and are growing. I agree that the Trust and others need to coordinate and take some obvious leadership for this. Couple of thousand on the hill - bring a dj along to "make some noise" as the youngsters say (sorry - getting carried away)
Someone tell me i'm wrong but all the fans on this thread claiming that the best protest would be to fill the ground are either hypocrites , cowards or both !!!!
Don't forget for most of the game it will be dark. The background (the hill) will appear pitch black on the tv and would probably hardly get a mention.
