Crawley 1-2 Coventry

I hope we get the goalcam view for the first goal! Their defender has had a shocker there.

That Kelly shot is woeful :(

Biamou did very well to create that chance for McNulty closing the defenders down.

His miss at the end

What's Kewell talking about there? 'They got lucky with the goal?'

I have watched the highlights three times now and don't know what he is seeing that I can't.

Both were well worked goals and both were great finishes by Ponticelli. Where was the luck?

Ryan Haynes came in for dogs abuse for the Crawley goal on the match thread. Cannot see how it was his fault? The run didn’t come from his man. McNulty let him slip for a free run
#scapegoat.

Robbins acknowledged that it was down to McNulty - said he struggled with the "new shape" formation.

Whilst I like Max, both elements of the goal and the miss is exactly why he frustrates, he should be better than JCH but seems to be better as an impact after JCH has roughed them up. I said last week, he is a better player in a 433 formation, he isn’t good enough with just 2 up front and his finishing is still woeful, that late on one was amateur level.

Think there was a bobble just as he struck the ball...it was right in front of me!

Well we looked good attacking many chances increases the scoring potential - Yes BB and Riley missed but three points thats all that mattered and no injuries ?

If it was a bobble then fair enough, it’s not easy to see from the replay’s but people can only see what’s available to them and it wasn’t the only one, as I said, I like him but it’s those chances that really make a difference at the end of the year when you are closing in on double figures or not as a striker.
People were raving for his return at County with 3 goals in 2 games, Ponti now has the same, maybe time to drop McNulty

Think the difference is that Ponticelli is a natural finisher and Biamou isn't.

It was lucky the chances fell to Ponticelli and not skyward bound Mcnulty thats what he meant

You’re right Steve, Haynes was marking his man, the player that scored came from deep and was allowed to run through by someone further up the field. He’s blamed purely because the goal came from his side of the pitch. Agree with #scapegoat.

Can't quite make out whose man it is for the open goal missed by their player. He just seems to stroll into the penalty area unmarked.

Must be either Bayliss's, Doyle's or Kelly's mustn't it?

While Kewell is talking somewhat out of his arse in that instance, it's not the first time the oppo has pointed out a predictability in how we play.

I thought the defender on the line should have done better for the first one. It seems to go through his legs.
However, kewell can do one. If BB (?!) had tucked that one away, or we’d capitalised on our other chances it looks to me like we’d have been out of sight.

Yeh for the first goal the defender missed it completely - perhaps unsighted by the keeper and put off by our player near the line?

Still a lovely finish though and I loved the way he shaped his body around the ball to guide it in.
