There is so many similarities between us and Crewe from last year and look at there season this year on league two.
Crewe were relegated last year easily with 34 points, and 16 points adrift from 20th and were the whipping boys of the league with a youthful side based of players from there strong academy. Sound similar right....
Now look at them this year with a similar youthful side struggling till there last few games which they've picked up some big points. They've got a largely youthful side with a couple of seasoned pros with the pick being Chris Dagnal.
There keeper is rated but young, defence young, midfield of kids and a striker in Dagnal up too.
If we don't get recruitment right this summer then the proof is there...we too will be struggling at the deep end of league two.

You are right about one thing. If we don't get investment and recruitment right this summer then we will be relegated to the conference.
cant think of anything else in common.

The similarities are on the pitch, kids in all critical areas. The spine of the team are 19/20/21... Our kids are showing the frailties are there already in them and league two is just as much a mans league.
We can ill afford to put too much faith in the kids again, the core has to be players in there mid to late twenties. Players that have a few seasons of experience of the weekly demands.
Crewe failed to address that last summer.... and we're sucked into the relegation battle

They have a cat 2 academy but will we?
I doubt it. All the indications are that it's going as soon as the lease is up. Ask Fisher and he'll recite the same crap as we read in the CET: "we're looking for a short term solution to the academy issue".
