Who's predicting that ?
Yeah and I was best man at my brother's wedding and still snuck out to go to the game City had on that day. Went to 'the toilet' straight after the speeches and just didn't come back.
I'm gutted as wellFirst game of the season is always a game to look forward to even if ours is in League 2. I reckon they'll be a good crowd there around 9,000. Even that sounds low ! A customer of mine says he's gutted he's not going, as he's going on holiday. He could have gone away on another week so he can't be that gutted !
This is why the potential that people rattle on about is a fallacyI asked all of the lads at work who went to the Chekatrade final if they are going on Saturday, but they all refused to comment, so I assume none of them are

We do have potential. We were averaging just over 20k in the Championship when SISU took over. It was even higher before then. But what have we had since? 2 half seasons when we looked to be going somewhere and a day on the piss in London where we won something. But even then we were getting relegated again. The rest has been shit. Hardly any of our supporters can remember a top 6 finish. What we need is a promotion season. Lets get excited about something where it lasts more than half a season. This is why the potential that people rattle on about is a fallacy

The club has never sustained support at a level befitting of 34 years in the top flight and being the only professional club in the sub region. Can't see it changes because even pre SISU there was a general apathy. There will always be a reason for people not to go.Because they won't watch us at our worst?
The size of the city alone gives us potential. Getting the funding and leadership to realise that potential has always been our issue.
I agree, but......The club has never sustained support at a level befitting of 34 years in the top flight and being the only professional club in the sub region. Can't see it changes because even pre SISU there was a general apathy. There will always be a reason for people not to go.

There's nothing like the first game of the season. Walking up the steps and seeing the HR pitch in the sunshine for the first time in months.
I cannae wait until Saturday. It will only be my third game of the year so it'll be good to be back.

we left the prem just before the boom boom level(we saw some of the boom!) stuff like becoming more popular around the world than countries domestic leagues, international tours, being able to buy players that whilst in mid table prem that choose us over likes of top 4 german and italian teams etc. being in the prem is a bigger deal nowadays
if we were still in prem i think the city would be footy mad personally.
In that case you're safe with SISU, they'll never let you down 'in this respect.I'd rather not be in the Prem than be surrounded by face painted flag wavers who never bothered before, it'd be like watching Wasps.

That attitude is going to get you nowhere my friendidiotic viewpoint.
as a fan you should want your team to be as successful as possible.

True, but it's an attitude not out of place on here. That attitude is going to get you nowhere my friend
I did that! Still in Hospital mateI went up the match my own wedding day. Got married, watched us draw 1-1 with Reading, then went to the reception. Mother in law wasn't impressed.

and those fans are idiots. probably the sort that refuse to pay for sky because they have killed football etc
whats next? i don't want to qualify for champions league?
strive to be the best, dont set a limit because you selfishly wouldnt want fairweather fans. look at leicester! i rememebr one of their fans on talksport saying he prefered the championship and wouldnt mind if they got relegated(season BEFORE WINNING PREM) bet he didnt think that the following year!
think of all the kids that would support cov if we were in the biggest league in the world rather than pick a top 4 side because who cares about league 2 etc
its whats best for the club at end of the day
What about the city fans who sang "city till I die" in April but now won't go because it's League 2?
