Part of the issue is that our atmosphere creators, have restricted themselves to "naughty corner" with only a limited number of seats in the corner, more and more people are trying to join them but there isn't enough space. The design of the stadium is all wrong, the club said at the start of this season they wanted to create a singing are behind the goal, but no-one wants to sit there as the sun is in your eyes for any afternoon games.
Ideally away fans would've been in that end, allowing us to have a bank of fans behind the goal where an atmosphere could be created
I suppose the safety officer is only used to Wasps games, where the crowd always sit and can have a snooze between scrums....they take that long.
What I would like is if they put the away fans in the corner then gave us the away end.
Yeah, as has already been said the whole stadium is arse about face. Away fans should have the north stand, deal with the sun etc. and the players entrance should have been put there and the casino entrance the other side. Then the vast majority of our fans would never have even come in contact with the away fans as we go towards Tesco. We’re limited by the stadium design and the concourses aren’t we?
I see no problem with it where it is, just needs more sensible policing.
Would that be the Government department for parties? Is it it the non departmental government body who have asked for that tweet to be sent? Probably asked loads of clubs to do the same.
They've been talking about it in 5Live.
Most of the contributors are quoting cocaine as the main factor.
I agree.

I 100% agree aswell. I'm getting fed up with seeing these kids not give a shit where and when they take it. There was a whole group of about 20 lads standing in the stairway of block 45 passing it around just snorting off their hands throughout the first half. Second half they had all moved right over to where the away fans were giving it the big one. They've been talking about it in 5Live.

People aren't doing more gear now than they were before.
I think it's the end of lockdown combining with increasing social media influence meaning people will do anything for a bit of notoriety while also thinking other people either don't matter or are just idiots.

There is more than 10 years ago I agree but no more than 3/4/5 years and the trouble is only getting worse now.Disagree to be honest, there's definitely more coke at football than 10 years ago.

I think lockdown has a part to play too.

I'm that sick of it at away games after Reading i think i'll just stick to away midweek games or long-distance like Boro where they don't tend to travel.
I think that's fair. When people have no outlet they are going to be twats. The current issues this season are definitely down to a mixture of those things.
You also have to factor lads who have recently turned 18/19 would have still been kids prior to the lockdowns and a sizeable number of fans returning to stadium following banning orders in 2016 from the Euros.
I always refer back to The Streets lyrics when thinking of behaviour at football:
'Geezers need excitement
If their lives don't provide them this, they incite violence'
The fact is, quality of life has been shite for two years and is continuing to decline. While that's not an excuse, blokes are releasing their anger/depression/energy at football matches.
We're not returning to organised hooliganism, but regular childish behaviour.

Love that album too, had my LP for 15 years and it still plays like a dream.
Against Derby they weren't even listening to the coppers. They would egg them on then cry when the police went near themWe've all been locked down doesn't make me want to snort washing powder up my nose then act like a complete prick so I can then go back to the pub to get a pat on the back from my other so called friends. There is no deterrent other than the odd copper tel you to back off.
The same reason that I wore legwarmers in the 80's.What’s made cocaine use go up in the last year or so?

Can't handle their beers.Couple of genuine questions
1. How do the rest of us with boring lives manage to avoid needing to snort crap?
2. Doesn’t the game itself offer a big enough rush?

I didn't go on the train to Blackburn but the same thing was happening on the train to Sheff Utd and it was 9am in the morning.I’m reluctant to criticise our fans as 99.9% are fantastic but this irks me. If people want to take that rubbish they should go and do it out of view of everyone else. It’s intimidating to families attending and leaves a lasting memory. I saw it being openly consumed at Blackburn away on the train there and regular passengers were actively moving carriages and complaining to the staff.
I hear cocaine is quite moreish.
