I especially like when he quotes a CT tweet of a story that he's written with some sort of "interesting stuff" comment. no Andy its not interesting its just lazy work on your part.
How has he lasted this long? doesn't even appear to have any connection or relationship with players or staff. Offers no insight at all.

Strange isn’t it. Now that the relationship has thawed between the club and the CT you’d think he’d put more effort in. The Athletic journos seem pretty forward thinking and he could take a look at those.

Having said that he’s probably already booked his flight and accommodation for the pre-season tour.

I'm a bit dubious about King, I like many others were glad to see the back of SISU and like how King conducts himself, especially dismissing the SISU fantasy stadium at Warwick Uni. But the team’s achievements last season has nothing to do with DK

Relax, he's only been at the club for a few months.

The way I see it, DK needs to see what a great opportunity he has in front of him and should do all he can to fast track that 5 year Premier League plan of his. I mean he was barely 6 months in charge and was a whisker away from the EPL. If that doesn’t inspire him to be more ambitious and to invest more into the team, it would be quite disappointing. I understand it may be hard to keep Gyokeres, but we really need to do all we can to hang onto Hamer. After last season’s exploits, I’m hoping we can attract a blend of great young and experienced talent to help us reach the promised land. C’mon Doug talk is cheap. Put your money where your mouth is!

Your’e selling it to me. My guess is that he is the kind of guy who lives the moment and plans for better. Some people see ways towards success even though they are wading through mud sometimes. i hope I’m right.

Sky Blue Welles are being issued with every Prem 500 ticket?

All that we achieved from the Norwich defeat onwards had nothing to do with the change of ownership, pure coincidence, had he invested in the squad we may not have looked so threadbare at Wembley.

Well, so fat so good from King after only being in the seat some 5-6 months. Initially got the season ticket structure wrong but was big enough to retract it with a more sensible “compromise”.
One thing which did surprise me is this 5 year plan where we should “ be knocking on the door 3 times and get through it eventually” in regards to reaching the Prem. Now, was that realistic or firing a shot at the manager that he has to deliver during that time? Wonder what will happen if say, after 2-3 years, we hadn’t gotten anywhere near the playoffs again?

How do you know it had nothing to do with it
I know that as soon as DK took control MR looked like a different person , he was smiling a lot more , that feel good factor can go a long way to improving performances/results .
That's only conjecture on my part as is your view it had nothing to do with it

The club was bust. It clearly couldn’t get funding. We already had one fire sale and would inevitably have had to shove Gyokeres out the door to keep going

This is why Doug needs to put his money where his mouth is - or at least give Robins the necessary tools to attempt this

It's only thanks to the change of ownership we could bring in McNally, two wing backs, and not sell Gyokeres for £3.5mil
