I think Clive Eakin said they were in discussions at management level.

My guess is it will be an emphatic yes. It's their job to cover the local area and like it or not, Wasps are now permanently part of our local area.

Am guessing they started covering key Blaze games when they moved here from Solihull.

The Look East coverage makes MK Dons seem like an old institution. They also get coverage on Look South (seen on on me hols on a rainy day).

Dec 13th ,luckily not a Friday ,but not a Sundey either ,could be logistical Issues for CWR with 3 teams playing on one day.

Their ratings will probably shoot up with all of the CCFC Fans who are angry with SISU for moving us tuning it to listen to wasps instead.

Bet you if they cover the games on CWR, someone will still phone in after, blaming Conor Thomas for the defeat.

I don't think the Goallie commands his area enough and don't get me started on his distribution.

Don't know about CWR, but did anyone notice the coverage and preview of today's Wasps game in yesterday's Coventry Telegraph?

Bit rich really considering they haven't even moved yet.

It would have been a page that I just turned straight over if I had bought the paper, hopefully they will put it on the same page as Coventry's team to save me having to turn too many pages.

If memory serves me correctly, the first game will be on Dec 21st. London Wasps, a franchise now based in Coventry, will face London Irish, a franchise now based in Reading. London Welsh, a franchise now based in Oxford, will no doubt be playing at the Coventry franchise location later in the season.

None of these franchises are particularly well-supported, interestingly enough. If BT Sport goes the way of ITV Digital, there will be tears before bedtime for some or all of these clubs.

They're playing London Welsh Franchise in Wycombe in a couple of weeks, adult tickets are priced at £40.

Really hoping BT Sport goes pop.

Haven't they paid a small fortune for the Champions League rights? You'd have to imagine they need to improve their subscriber base (and stop giving it free to BT Broadband customers) to make that back. How many people can afford multiple sports packages, there's so much football on I don't watch most of it anyway let alone need to pay more for even more games.

There is too much football on and you can't even watch it all sometimes there are 4 games on at the same time at a weekend. Whenever I see Rugby on I don't even stop on that page if I am flicking through.

It's a done deal mate, I really can't see the point in a protest now.

The people who are against it, particularly the unhappy Wasps fans, simply won't turn up. That will be my plan too, kind of a #NOPM to Wasps, regardless of who or when they're playing.

I trust that the people here and elsewhere who welcome Wasps being dragged up here by their owners, won't complain too much if or when ours decide to take us away from the Ricoh.

See I'd be all for some kind of visible No to Wasps type statement... but we're all a bit punch drunk now, aren't we?

Didn't even start with SISU either. We had the protests against Richardson back when we were relegated, the campaign to get the ground built(!), the campaign to save the academy, the ticking clock... it's like here we go again isn't it!

I still don't think just not turning up sends the right message, it allows things to be explained away, but let's face it attendances for protests beyond a couple of marches were shit for our club, they'll be even shitter when it, to some, doesn't directly affect our club either. And how does it help if only half a dozen turn up? That allows it to be spun to suggest only half a dozen are opposed - a bit like GCBTTR's (or whatever the acronym is!) election campaign against Ann Lucas could be argued to give her a mandate (note, I'm not saying it did, but it could certainly look that way if that was the direction your perspective was skewed).

The only thing I can think to do, to be quite honest, is try and make more of an effort to support the local Rugby clubs in their stead, in the hope Wasps do either give up/fold/decide to bugger off to more profitable places, so the clubs already here have a hope of still being here afterwards.

If I had the answer, I'd be suggesting it for sure!

See what you're saying, but in truth very low attendances at Wasps will be proof enough of what a crap idea it was for all involved, as far as I'm concerned. I'm reasonably convinced it was the low attendances at Sixfields rather than anything else that brought us back.

But yes, personally I'll still be going to CRFC. It's a good day out and I always look forward to it. The standard might not be as high as Wasps, but it's rugby ffs - the game's not supposed to be beautiful.

I'm not, but fucking hell we've been through these arguments so many times I don't have enough hours in the day to do it again

tbh I think my heart's more in lower level leagues nowadays anyway. it seems more genuine now the money men have taken over the top flight of sports, more of a connection and more down to earth.

Mind you, I was kind of perversely looking forward to CCFC being in a lower league for that reason:facepalm:
