To be honest, despite his horror show in the first 20 minutes at Norwich, he grew into that game, and was really effective in the 2nd half. Good crisp passer, and can beat a man. No better than Dabo, but certainly on a par. His performance on Tuesday was outstanding. Just wish he was a left footer, Da Costa & Dabo as wing backs would be great.
When I read your first sentence I thought I was going to agree with you, but then it went a bit weird. No way in what we have seen so far can we say he is on a par with Dabo. I anpm glad we seem to have a reasonable back up, especially as Pask doesn't look comfortable in that position, but Dabo is one of our best players.
I think sadly again I will prove CC84 wrong again and the 4-4-2 formation from the 90's will prevail against us on Saturday......think the last time proved him wrong he said.....mark my words ....
However with players we have available now I agree 4-4-2 not really an option for us - I think we still need to play two up front to at least occupy their defence a bit and stop full backs bombing on too but many are going for one up top which I think would be a grave mistake for this one and would result in Watford probably playing six up top against us at stages as we will carry not threat at all up top.

In fairness, Watford fans are all bemoaning the 4-4-2 & asking for it to be changed, especially when they're playing an excellent Central Midfielder like Will Hughes on the left wing
Well imo they do have wide options more suitabe but just don;t want to drop Hughes so have to fit him in somewhere.......I have never really ever rated Cleverly so hope he continues to start for them in the centre - Will Hughes would do far better than him centrally imo but Cleverly seems to have the equivalent of the Shipley sway with the Watford Manager.
I thought he did well to get into a great position to cross but he pings them in first time without taking a look or just taking another touch to steady the cross. He had time to actually lift his head but he pinged them in randomly hoping someone was going to get on the end off the ball. At least he showed energy on what was a poor night by our standards.
Nothing wrong with getting the ball across first time as it doesn't allow defenders to set up easily. Unfortunately our forwards weren't set up either and didn't seem to be expecting that quick service. Would have been interesting to see how a more natural goal scorer like Godden would have got on.

Does anyone know what happened to him yesterday? The challenge was pretty innocuous and certainly didn't cause him to have a head injury. Was there an off-the-ball incident?

Both Forest and Watford kind of ignored him and left him in huge areas of space which we also didn’t make much use of. Wonder how Cardiff will approach it
