I go to the SBitC walking football. I love it. I am 62 next month and before doing this had given up any thoughts of playing football again. However, the sessions are competitive and there is the odd meety challenge (mostly accidental to be honest). At Finbarr's where two sessions a week are held, the walking rule is reasonably loosely interpreted. It is great fun. I would say about 80%of the chaps who go wear a City shirt with a large percentage attending games. I was able to tell my boys last week that I had tackled Dave Bennett and won the ball! I don't think Dave was particularly bothered but I was pleased with myself!
So well done to Dave Buust and SBitC for organising this, it makes a big difference to the health and happiness of a lot of old blokes (and a couple of ladies too).
