We don't know what happened. All we have is rumours. Someone shagging someone or whatever. Nobody can state anything as fact as things have been unusually quiet for a club that's had a near total clear out of people that have been with us for years.
I do have my doubts that Robins would have the final say though. His role was reduced to head coach for the last near 2 years. This is one of the rare facts in this game of Chinese whispers.
"suspect" "possibly" "would've" "probably" "sometime" "likely" That's a lot of words to use to say you don't know what was happening. That's fine, none of us do, we're all going off assumptions. For a role like Badlan's I suspect he would've had to give sufficient notice if he wanted to leave, at least a month, possibly more.
So the process of searching for his replacement would've probably begun some time before the announcement of his departure, and likely before DK had any kind of say in what happens behind the scenes.
This post is insane."suspect" "possibly" "would've" "probably" "sometime" "likely" That's a lot of words to use to say you don't know what was happening. That's fine, none of us do, we're all going off assumptions.
Why hasn't King replaced Austin over the last 2 years when we know he has had the full say in what happens behind the scenes? Most of the other people involved in running the club have been replaced, why not the Head of Recruitment?
What's your issue with it?This post is insane.

If we listed the players purchased and had a guess at what we’d recoup I think we'd see that that £45m is not lost. Especially when you see the Lati and BTA rumours.Probably because we effectively trusted someone effectively from non leage St Albans to play with £45m with questionable results
It is easy to find yeah which is why I'm surprised you have no clue.If you clearly know where and when it will be easy to find.
I think I know what you're on about. Was often said about but doesn't say what people think. That's why I say I would love to see you quote it.
Yes it is bloody boring. Same old thing from the same people but never a quoted article or anything to back anything up. Just like I'm supposed to be anti King for saying I think it's the way we're now set up that can really hurt us. To me Austin is a massive liability and needs to go. But you and certain others jump all over it each time it's mentioned. It seems your biggest aim in life is to blame Robins for whatever you can. He is gone. He was very good for us. Now we need to back Lampard. This means bringing in the players he needs. And if nothing has changed it brings us back to the subject of Austin. Yes boring but very important.

The squad just isn't balanced. But I also think a little consistancy of the starting 11 would have helped - like Kitching and Simms playing more. EMC playing LW and Haji not getting injured.
I fully agree. We don't know exactly what has been going on yet so many things are stated as fact.I was convinced Robins had had the coaching structure forced on him. Now convinced I was wrong based on some things I've heard and some DMs I've received.
Though I wasnt totally wrong and it wasnt all down to Robins, despite what he said in an interview, It's all a bit more nuanced than that.
I suspect its the same with recruitment, but as football supporters we don't really do nuance very well!
I am becoming more convinced that the recruitment isn't as bad as some are making out and with the right (type) of additions we can kick on.
I told you I think I know which interview you're talking about. And it doesn't say what you're making out it does. That's why you won't put it up on here. If you could show what you're saying you would put a link to it.It is easy to find yeah which is why I'm surprised you have no clue.
It does, that's why I said it.I told you I think I know which interview you're talking about. And it doesn't say what you're making out it does. That's why you won't put it up on here. If you could show what you're saying you would put a link to it.
Just put a link up. I know of nothing saying what you say.It does, that's why I said it.
As always, you go flying in with no clue what you're on about.

Largely I think our recruitment has been ok. We've got some excellent players & very saleable assets.
We left ourselves short in a few areas this summer, notably midfield & an obvious lack of experience, but we know from MR's interviews that these were identified but we failed to get a few players over the line. If Austin identified them but they didn't sign, can we be sure it's on him?
I agree. The 'we've wasted 45 million' just isn't true.
Will we eventually recoup it? Who knows, but we've clearly got players we'll make a profit on and will recoup a good chunk of it.
It’s not wasted at all, agree. Yes there is some crap we’ve got but we would get our money back on those players (for the majority) and there are others who are valuable assets.
Some Players who you would get more money than what we paid:
Dovin
Lati (was a free so if £1.5m is true then good)
MVE
Sheaf
Rudoni
Tatsu
EMC
Wright
Bassette
From that list you look at MVE, Sheaf, Rudoni, EMC, Wright and they would go for big money. Nearly £45-50m combined.
Squad value overall is around £70m.
We have a more valuable squad than before when Doug first came and the model is year on year to increase value.
Just put it up. Then I will know what you keep constantly going on about.I thought you knew what I was on about but I was wrong?

We have no idea who appointed Austin. The idea he was Robins mate is based entirely on one quote where he says he’s been on training courses with him and is aware of him.
Me arguing? You stated something as fact. I asked for some kind of evidence. You refuse to but keep making silly comments. No argument there.Or maybe you can have a look at what you are arguing about before you try and argue it constantly?
It is easy to find yeah which is why I'm surprised you have no clue.
Maybe it just shows that Austin and Robins were not on the same page and ultimately Doug came down on Austin's side.I fully agree. We don't know exactly what has been going on yet so many things are stated as fact.
The one thing that gets me is Austin. He failed as a manager. And since he has been in place we have made a couple of strange signings like Asante instead of bringing in players to cover positions we needed. Now 6 months later we're looking at selling him already and there's a good chance we'll make a loss on him. That can't be a part of the 'model' for our 'deck'.
Yeah but you don't always get to realise those assets. It’s not wasted at all, agree. Yes there is some crap we’ve got but we would get our money back on those players (for the majority) and there are others who are valuable assets.
