Ironic really, the obituary I've just read said he could once have gone on trial as a footballer at West BromI know he wasn’t known for being a City fan but I’d really hope the club arrange at least a tribute to him before the game on Wednesday
He did a lot to put the City of Coventry on the map - Very very sad news
A mate of mine in Coventry posted something late Sunday about this, then took it down again early yesterday.Terry Hall: lead singer of the Specials dies aged 63
Having survived a tough childhood in Coventry, Hall became one of pop’s defining voices at the turn of the 80s, chronicling British decline and disfranchised youth with the 2 Tone bandwww.theguardian.com
Quite a lengthy and in depth piece for someone who's death was announced 30 minutes ago.
Good tribute. Thanks for the nod .
Martin Duffy Primal scream - 55.
What a shit couple of days for the music world.
Terry was bipolar, so he could well have come across as a miserable sod!A miserable bastard but he was our miserable bastard. So glad I got to see the lads perform with Terry fronting the band. That’s 2 gone from the original 7. RIP Terry …Reluctant Cov music legend
Me and you are still here !I know death will come to us all but fuck me, 63 is no age. Fly high Terry. Start up the band again when you find Bradders up there! Heart broken.
Been to the game tonight just back in a bit pissed. Definition of happiness ? Sky Blues winning. To add to happiness got music on.Me and you are still here !
Good on you Rattler. Well done.My sister came to visit me today first time for months. She hugged me and said she's so proud at the change in me. She used to visit me in prison. That felt good.
Brilliant! That must have felt great! Hadn't seen two of my sisters for about 15 years and got back together again last year. Glad I did!My sister came to visit me today first time for months. She hugged me and said she's so proud at the change in me. She used to visit me in prison. That felt good.
Yes really enjoyed spending a few hours with my sister. Like my parents she stuck by me when I used to get into trouble etc, when I expected her to walk away. But as we know life is short and can end at any time, so best try and make amends while we can.Brilliant! That must have felt great! Hadn't seen two of my sisters for about 15 years and got back together again last year. Glad I did!
Just Sir Geoff Hurst and Sir Bobby Charlton. I have great memories of that World Cup. And even my old mam - a staunch Southern Irish woman, madly cheered England on and danced around the room when the cup was lifted! The main reason? England had beaten the Germans, whom she hated till the day she died, because they killed her dad during the Coventry Blitz.Only two left from the 66 side
Maxi Jazz can finally get some sleep.
65 years old, no age really.I shouldn't laugh but.....
He can't have been that old, another loss to the music industry, what a shit few weeks it's been.
Maxi Jazz can finally get some sleep.
Janice Long last year, she launched a few bands careers. You pretty much always get someone from the music, film or TV industry, die on Christmas Day too, so watch out for that one as well
Love Faithless. I think I have just about everything they recorded. Fabulous music. Such sad news. No bloody age either. RIP MaxiMaxi Jazz, lead singer of Faithless
