Being denied as a punishment for his vctims being unable to enjoy those privileges.

I mean, I dunno. That all sounds fine tbh but... aren't they just utter fruitcakes who marry convicted criminals such as him anyway?!? Isn't the greater punishment to saddle him with a nutter and deny him a divorce?!?

I mean what posesses somebody to want to marry Levi Bellfield?!? Can hardly be his gentle sensitive touch(!)

I can see the intention but really what is the point? Not like he'd have a nice wedding and then be off on honeymoon.

Not sure I see the benefit of giving him huge amounts of money for legal aid rather than just letting them sign a bit of paper to say their married and let him continue to rot inside.

I did a bit of extra reading after this (as you do!). Charles Bronson's wife / fiance (not sure if they're married by now) sold the moment Bronson proposed to the Mirror (if ever something must have been contrived then!), and then sold their wedding photos. I guess that's a reason to deny such a thing as you're profiting from their notoriety... but yeah easier just to say no photos and let them get on with their 'happy day'.

Not like it's going to increase the social standing of the bride is it, or mean Bellfield suddenly has respect as a solid decent family man(!)
