How many times have played this season with our first choice team... It means very little... The management have the statistics, the analytics... They will know where we are weak, how we are losing games and they've tried to remedy it...How many times did we play 5 at the back with our first choice backline?
Am I the only person who thinks this guy’s becoming a pain in the backside?4 of Your next 5 games will be same, he shits himself at this level when playing fellow relegation strugglers, he see them as mustn’t lose games rather than very winnable.
Only cos his dad works at the gif factory so he gets them before they're in Woolworths.
You think the way we are playing is easy on the eye ?Abother good point!!!
Felt we looked comfortable all game long so annoyed to concede but this team doesnt give up and nice strike from hamer!!
I love way we play, so easy on eye.
Some thoughts:
Shipley is a passenger again. He always lets his man get away and is sloppy with even simple passes
Did mcallum have to go off? Goal came from a cross in thay corner. I thought mcallum was v good again though some sloppy mistakes today he needs to cut out
Kelly is playing really well although sometimes he passes like a pub player lol
O hare must sort out his finishing. It is costing us points
Wilson looks so assured. Marosi may have to wait to return at this rate!
Dabo looking kike Dabo of old
Good away point!!!

Of course it means a lot. We were shipping goals while playing a left footer or a player clearly not good enough at right back and our captain and best defensive midfielder out. Now they're back we don't concede as much so we should clearly try and put some more attacking elements into our game by doing what got us scoring goals. It also means all of our best players end up in their best positions. How many times have played this season with our first choice team... It means very little... Do you think Robins sits there with all the data infront of him and doesn't think about what he's going to play and why?
Who were we missing tonight from our first choice 4-2-3-1 XI aside from Marosi? How many times have played this season with our first choice team... It means very little... He's playing what he thinks is going to get us points, each game at a time
Look at each of those 7 goals and tell me how many were caused by the formation. You could perhaps argue Watford's 1st goal but let's be honest we had McCallum playing at RWB that game.
This is what happens when you just solely look at the results and not the performances or anything else.
Godden and arguably sheaf would normally startWho were we missing tonight from our first choice 4-2-3-1 XI aside from Marosi?
How would you pick the side for Saturday CC4L?
Godden and arguably sheaf would normally start
Don't mind what MR picks. Whatever formation we play same brand. Keep it on ground. Use sweeper keeper. It's all good
I imagine sheaf will be back in. I really hope Shipley will be dropped but we shall see.

I dont know what you want me to say, wing backs we ship goals, it's obviously a problem... The evidence is in front of you
Would you be inclined to go 2 up top or stay with 1?
A lone striker has to offer more than Walker does in general play, for me we don't have that type of player for this level so we need to go 2 up top.Would you be inclined to go 2 up top or stay with 1?
The goals, as have been pointed out to you, were due to mainly individual errors or poor work at set pieces. Not by playing wing backs. What you're actually saying is we had at any given time 1 player out of position in the back line...
Lads I'm all for playing whatever formation gets results... If it's wingbacks so be it.... But the fact is we shipped a ton of goals... Am I losing my mind here or are people being willfully blind to this
I want you to say how that specific 5-3-2 is the reason we shipped goals and you seem to be struggling massively to show it. You can't because they weren't caused by the formation and other teams' poor finishing doesn't make this any better

They happened when we had worse defensive players available to us than we do now.
I can't point you to exactly why the 532 cost us games... I can only point you to the amount of goals conceded in those games, and the amount of goals conceded in the other games when we tried a different variation of wing back systems...
Then when we play 4 at the back we stop leaking goals but stop scoring...
Obviously system comes into play here doesnt it
We've scored 2 goals, one a massive error, while we've had 1 striker on the pitch in 10 games.I can't point you to exactly why the 532 cost us games... So Obviously the system is a factor then isn't it... Exactly like the wing back systems being a factor in us conceding so many right? We've scored 2 goals, one a massive error, while we've had 1 striker on the pitch in 10 games.
Yes. If you play ten men behind the ball for 90 mins against the worst teams in the division you don’t concede.
Except when you do.
Then you go two up top to salvage a draw.
I genuinely think it is. Other than Fadz kicking the ball (and in fairness that's what he's been trained to do) aimlessly up the park, we're pretty comfortable on the ball. Derby's centre half was bought by Arsenal for 2.5 million as a seventeen year old. Perspective and all that. Anyways, here's to staying up.You think the way we are playing is easy on the eye ?
But like I said a minute ago we switched to 2 up against blues and almost threw it away as they suddenly took control once we switched to wing backs?
What I was trying to point out was that you can isolate individual statistics to make things look better or worse. The formation not being the be all and end all, our lack of scoring now isn't just down to the formation, it's down to the players we have in it being out of position, the areas in the field we play leaving the striker too isolated and playing it long at the wrong time. Just like conceding before wasn't down to playing 532 it was down to silly individual mistakes and a zonal system from set pieces. So Obviously the system is a factor then isn't it... Exactly like the wing back systems being a factor in us conceding so many right?
