Says Jack Marriott has had his head turned by Derby and wants to move there (life changing wages etc - where have we heard that before?!). He then goes on to say, we won't sell as they are nowhere near our valuation (cue player/agent having a hissy fit) and tries to make Derby up their offer by saying that there is another Championship club who want him and Jack is keen to join them, too?!?! How can he be keen to go to Derby and another club? Posh Chairman playing games methinks.
Yeah, he's opinionated, but at least he cares, and *seems* to do whatever he does for the good of his club. Doesn't get it right all the time, but it's the right intentions.
Not saying he isn't a decent bloke (Evans aside) , just thought he was being a bit cute trying to force the Marriott price up by pretending another club were serious contenders, when Marriott seems to have made his mind up it's Derby he wants to go to (which weakens Peterborough's chances of provoking bidding war).

If Derby are offering a fair fee then fair enough. If it's the usual undervaluation and let the agent get on with it then Posh right to try and get the right price if player really wants to go.
Derby come in and offer 1m for Bayliss and the lure of agents fees & bigger wages I expect Fisher to create a bidding war to get the best price.
Speaking to someone with close links to Mansfield this week and as ever the conversation turned to what a complete bell end Evans was at the club, and an utter disloyal piece of shit he was. Complete scum.
