What makes me laugh is they want to stop someone with a banner !!!!!!!!
But a few weeks back they were letting people loot shops and just standing by up the street watching!!!!!!!

im not protesting but to me it seems simple ... dont take a item that can be classed as a fire hazard ........ a t-shirt for instance can be taken off held up as a banner and then put on again,,, they cant take your clothing or remove you unless it states obscenities of is inciting. why take a sheet? go to an art shop and get a large bit of Card or Paper... its cheap and you can simply throw it away should the thought police make their way upto you.

Just when i think i couldnt hear more tripe from city fans i stumble upon this thread. Ive heard several peoples story of events, including 4 of the stewards at the game, and they do differ from what most of you on here want to beleive. Stewards are paid to do a job given to them and they act upon the instructions they are given, yet they are slaughtered on here for doing their job? As for telling a guy he should know better than sit in a certain block with a child says it all. If such great 'fans' didnt create unease and react violently to events then there wouldnt be this fear factor with parents taking children to games. To finish i am in support of the majority of the police actions given the information i have and am completely in support of the stewards.

I was sitting near the man who got arrested,he clearly asked the officer why isnt he identifiying his numbers as this is illegal.The officer refused to answer and try to say the man was drunk,the man was not drunk At all.
The officers bascially told him to f**k off and the other officers came over determind to nick him.They grabbed the man very forcefully,got him in a headlock and dragged him away. I heard the police say your being nicked for drunken disorder which was false as he is a regular down the wheatsheef inn,he only had 3/4 of 1 pint as i seen him personally. look i know him and he told me the charge later turned out to be threatning and abusive behavoir also he is bailed to go back in a month times. Thank you for all support him as the police where far out of order and looked to be wanting a scrap/fight and i believe i saw a policeman SPIT at him

Thanks for a very helpful post, sounds like you've been busy doing your research! The bit I quote is exactly what I was thinking after listening to the fellow on CWR talk about fire certificates. The most telling part about it was that they still reserve the right to remove things they think inappropriate or offensive. So if they can define those terms, I can only assume that Ken would find "SISU Out" offensive!

The point about bedsheets is particularly pertinent..and it is a non-smoking environment, not too many naked flames about! Wouldn't it be fantastic to have a local journalist who had enough about them to do a quick round of telephone interviews with all the major West Midlands clubs to see what their policies are on such details? I suspect many would have been as baffled as Pompey sounded.

Reading maybe, but Fulham aren't what I'd class as a modern tinpot club. They're one of the few clubs upholding a rare sense of tradition in football, something we can't really crow about in our two-thirds empty out-of-town corporate concrete bowl.

Yeah that does it for me, I have not been in either Sisu in or out club but this bloke Clouting is a muppet with his quote

"Andy Thorn was plain after the match that the players had been distracted by what was going on in the stands and that it did not help his side on an afternoon when they achieved a notable win."

Yeah but you decidied to leave off the bit where he said he understands the fans frustrations didn't you you plank.............RANT OVER

You don't get it do you .The ACL clowns who run the ground that our club should own ,treat us as their captive cashcow week in week out ,foisting their crazy initiatives on us and expecting us toget in with it, but go to a,, rugby event up there they dont hassle you if you prefer to stand ,they dont harrass you continually to see if youre in your alocated seat,they'll serve ubeer in there at your convenience with cash ,and guess what uyou can drink it in the stadium.then if you want you can go to a concert and they'll let u kick plastic bottles allover the place throw them at other people and cover them with urine , smoke drugs and anything else you may wish, but the good people of coventry city ,who have unfortunately through the football club,let them gain controland all we get is their contempt because we're from here and that means we're lowlife .

I'm getting sick of people claiming the team was put off. In case no one noticed we won for the first time in a quite a while at the Ricoh so it clearly wasn't that much of an issue. Seems odd that none of the Derby players were put off, could it be that it was just a coincidence? It's not as if our players have never looked like they've been distracted by something before!

The statement has so many holes in it I don't know where to start.

I emailed the club yesterday asking for a copy of the ground regs and surprise surprise there's no mention of banners or flags in there so given that there's no law or H&S regulations that apply you could come to the conclusion that it's just something they made up as an excuse to take the banners.
