Some of our pricks couldn't keep silent during minute for the fallen or last post etc yesterday but as we still have cunts (probably the same ones) that boo the knee, then I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

For the hard of thinking, I doubt you're reading this but if you are I'll reiterate, you don't need to agree with the cause, you don't need to applaud, but it's such a small time out of your day, so for the benefit of others including the team you've travelled a long way to support, then at least have the respect for them and those around you to shut the fk up.

any noise I heard was from the concourse , some oblivious to what was happening .

I don't think it was intentional this time tbh

Same-it was all in the concourse apart from a drunk guy near me making more noise telling folks to shut the fuck up!

There was audible difference between in and out, some getting riled up a bit because of it. Also doesn't explain the boos at the knee which we definitely still have. Might be a minority, but absolutely still there.

Also, even in the unlikely that it was just the concourse, why would you travel miles away and still need to be drinking at kick off time? We had some on the way up and some near the ground, but went for the match so ffs how hard is it to get to your seat for 3pm there's half time and all night after for more ale.

Would most stadiums not have to be equipped with PA systems that cover the concourse for use in an emergency situation? Should be that hard to give those not in the stands a notification a silence is starting.

Yup agreed..theres some walking into the stands and talking had to be told to shut up. Ridiculous whole stadium in silence. Like they didnt know.

There was 100s looking for a fight during and after the last match. Sad.

To be fair Rob, I don't think it's any of your business if a fan wants to finish his / her drink and it overlaps kickoff 😆

What a strange thing to worry about

Not worried at all, but they rhenium come barging past everyone at 305 and bugger off at 335 for more, late after ht and then the loo. Pain in the arse.

And chatting through silence!

Like I said ,I didn't hear anybody in their seats chatting , I heard some in the concourse .. if there were fans in their seats being loud then that's unfortunate

What also didn’t help was Hull has the quietest PA system I’ve ever heard. No wonder those in the concourse were totally oblivious.

May have been where I stood but fully back this. Open backed stadium down to the concourse, didn’t hear anyone near me utter a sound, but obviously those in the concourse had no idea what was going on and the noise carried up.

As for, them turning up late, not really anyone’s say what a paying fan does in terms of drinking a beer in concourse up until kick off, or perhaps they were held up in the traffic from the horrible news on the M18.

I agree with the general point - no skin off nose to keep quiet, whatever your views. It did surprise me that they were marking it in October, mind you, so if not in their seats I could understand how they wouldn't expect it.

In all my years of going up the city ( which are many) I can honestly say I have never heard one city fan ever not respecting a period of silence. I remember going to old Trafford on one of the anniversaries of the Munich disaster and being applauded by the utd fans for our exceptional amount of respect, talking to one of there's after , he said most other supporters would have been book g or jeering .
So I think it's hash calling our supporters out on this as they were probably unaware in the bars what was happening in the stadium.

I think Bobby Charlton wrote a letter to the pink praising the city support for their conduct that day.

It was the 30th anniversary - 1988. I remember we lost 1-0 and recall a brief moment of dread as the whistle blew to commence the one minute silence - expecting it to be broken by some clown(s.) Needn't have worried because it was observed impeccably by the SBA.
I think there were quite a few letters of praise from Utd supporters in view of City's response that were sent to the telegraph/pink for a couple of weeks after the game.

I was at the OT game too and ut was impeccable, but for those who've not heard it home on remembrance well I've obviously been in different parts of the grounds to you but we've certainly had issues. One season v West Ham it was mainly the concourse but so bad that it nearly kicked off big time and was getting pretty nasty.

The reason we now often have a minutes applause over silence when someone dies is because pricks (all over the country not just ours) can't manage to be respectful for a single minute.

Also nobody has picked up about some of our lot still booing the knee. I turned round and told a couple to shut the fk up but it definitely still happens too which I find bizarre after all this time.

Been to a few away games this season and yesterday's crowd seemed different from the others. Almost like the long journey gave them all an excuse to get hammered pre match. Some of the slurring in speech before kick off when people were singing was hilarious

I was in the concourse going to the toilet. No one knew there was a minute silence. It was only as I walked up the stairs that I knew.

Complete overreaction.

So because you were on the concourse and didn't know, you can confirm that nobody in he stands was being vocal and therefore an overreaction err okey dokey of course you'd know ....

Also again glossing over the booing of the knee which def had fek all to do with the concourse.

TBH I would have thought those booing the knee and those disrespecting the minutes silence would have been completely different groups.

I couldn't say either way, but my response was to suggesting it was an overreaction. Not only do I disagree which is why I also referenced the knee, but the fact if he was on the concourse he couldn't possibly have any idea what was or wasn't said in the stands.

Doesn't really matter if it's the same people or not. Equally detestable.

That said I'd give benefit of the doubt to someone who hasn't realised what's happening. It does happen for one reason or another. What irks me more is the idiots who start shouting obscenities trying to get people to shut up, as if them breaching the silence twice as loud is a sign of respect.

Not just the obscenity but the irony of speaking at all. Also the loud shushers. The quickest way to remind people to be quiet is by remaining quiet. A glare and a shake of the head is more effective.

Their next home match is 20th November so that’s why they did it in October.
